I can believe that. Rock has come out on record saying he regrets performing that bit.

I can't tell you how much I hate the fact Chris Rock is regretting this joke. All because of "new nikkas" who weren't there in real time and white racist."black people" and "nikkas" understood the joke and it was all love. If you ever had a car or house broken into, ever been in a club that was shot up and you only live around, and are hanging around black people at the time, you probably assumed and blamed it on phantom "nikkas".

"nikkas won't let you have nice shyt:martin:"

"nikkas always gotta fight and fukk up a good time:martin:"

I've said these things while probably falling into the category of "nikka", as I was stealing shyt too on a technicality in my pre righteous era. The joke is not a true reflection of how you feel about "black people" or "nikkas" or meant to be divisive:comeon:. Can't believe it has to even be explained, but I guess I get it since whites and c00ns have taken it and used it in a different non hyperbole/ humorous manner. Chris Rock was seen very much as a "nikka" back then which made it work. Now if Chris Rock of today,Hannibul Burress,Carmichael said the joke it would be taken differently.

Trust ,an audience full of black people would have felt uncomfortable in unison if there was a need to. That would have been felt on the special.
It was a joke that worked in its time.

That bit was always corny to me. You cant use “nikka” as a negative, as in how “they” use it... then act like sayin wassup my nikka is kosher.

great documentary,Chris Rock is in my top 3 of all time.
Props on him giving that much props to Martin who imo doesn't get the respect he deserves.
It's funny if you look back Martin was actually the next Eddie Murphy, but largely overlooked because white people wouldn't crown him that, because he was too "urban":mjpls:.It was even Martin who had all of the characters, and physical comedy for a sketch comedy show.
They crowned Chris, but Chris didn't become what he was until he proved himself to black people.
This should be a lesson to all black creatives out there who are trying to bypass black people for white acceptance, fame and dollars. It happens more than ever nowadays, but if you are black, only other black people can make you legendary:wow:

What I'm saying is that 2pac was being a hypocrite if he was mad at Chris Rock for using it in the manner he did if he himself uses it frequently. I get of course they were both used in different context but for him to get at Chris for his routine was some bullshyt.

That's like if black parents at the time were mad'Strictly 4 My nikkaz' " came out and ignored the context and called him a c00n for using that term. Let's not act like non-black looked at the album and said 'whoops, this album strictly prohibits us from listening to it as we ain't "nikkaz!" They were dropping nikka too because of 2pac and other Rappers.

They're both artists, he should've approached him from a place of understanding rather than attacking him.

In fairness we don't know if 2pac really "attacked" him,and I'm sure we'll get more clarification as he will be asked about it. That George dude from the doc is a 2pac hater "They looked like they were about to squabble". 2pac always sounded like he wanted to squabble, dude was just direct in giving his opinion and loud of course:mjlol:. Hilarious that nikkas wanted to kill him in Oakland lol:,you never know if its the activist side of Oakland that was mad at that joke,or the fact Oakland just has some of the wildest, most hilarious nikkas on earth:laff:.

Hopefully I don't need to explain I don't mean that in a deragatory way:martin:.

You’re a damn lie. There is no misunderstanding. The joke was coin shyt, period. He apologized and expressed regret for even doing the joke(which is something comedians don’t normally do) probably because somebody explained to him why it was c00n shyt. You’re just a hard headed c00n sticking to your c00n principles.
:mjgrin:don't punch your screen out of anger
A piece of shyt like you could never get me angry. I would never quote your bytchsss to instigate an exchange.

Yet the damage is still done. Even to this day whites and c00ns use that joke to make and co-sign their racist arguments and their overall ideology. This is why we can’t be tolerant of the respectability pound cake bullshyt.
The bit is funny, but you can't tell it when non-black people will hear it and use it to their own ends. You shouldn't have to censor yourself like that, but that's how it is.

I don't know if I even have that energy for comedians! I'm not really caught up about it because ultimately, racists are going to use whatever they can to be racist.

I'm sort of rethinking my own comments, tbh. I don't know if I can justify asking black folks to be responsible for white thoughts. It's another form of the "don't wear a hoodie outside because white people might get bad thoughts" argument.

fukk what I said, undap me and neg me for that last post. Black people are not and never will be responsible for other people's racism. I should be ashamed of myself for making that post.

Don't sweat it breh it does take some thought to realise how hypocritical most human beings are. Sometimes you just gotta take a step back and soak in how inconsistent their words are with their actions.

Yeah okay:rudy:.

He actually regretted the fact white people took it and ran with it,but stood by the joke if you watched the documentary. Far as you calling me anything,I feel nothing since you cuss everybody out like a fiesty auntee on here:mjlol:

Hopefully you grow into your manhood one day and stop that, very feminine behavior:martin:
