All yall "rootin" for Dame gotta be nuts. Or on his nuts. No pause.

As much as this fukkery is entertaining, the struggle is hurtful to watch. Dude's lost. fukk whatever he accomplished, I mean I applaud him for that but that was then, and this is now.

He's crazy. Talkin #pause #harlem #boss #kids shyt, spittin that cheap rhetoric, he desperate to make himself look good and he doin it in a completely douchbag way.

It's sad to watch. Cos he 50 years old. Khat damn. :sadcam:
I'm rooting for myself, but there isn't anything wrong with hoping to see someone's ventures turn into success. You sounding like a hater, I'm rooting for anyone that's spreading positivity.

And he's really not, he has a point, you just can't see it because you came into this thread with preconceived notions. Aren't you the same person that made a thread about being burnt out from working your job? Did you not say you would like to pursue your own hobby? Okay then.

What he said to me made perfect sense, and I've been feeling the same way myself, on a spiritual level at least. I don't think these companies love and they've just capitalized on this idea of money being worth more than our time as human beings.

And he wasn't being a douche, sometimes you have to export force when you're in a room full of lames who are known for making other people feel like crap while they interview them and talking over them.

Why wouldn't I want the dude people claim that is dropping gems to actually give some substance to his claims? You can't be fukking serious. I know that information which is exactly what I and others have been posting about and it doesn't agree with the nonsense Dame Dash is talking. How about that? If MJ told me to be the GOAT I have to practice I'd look at him like he was stupid. No shyt I have to practice - now are you gonna actually give details and substance or just keep spouting stuff that sounds good? What did Dame tell you in that interview that is actually credible and that you didn't already know? Be honest. All you can tell me is that Dame said be a boss.
I'm not sure I'm understanding your point. I didn't, and I assume most didn't, click on the video hoping Dame Dash was going to teach me how to start a business. If somebody has to walk you step-by-step through something, then you're probably too lazy to accomplish whatever you're trying to accomplish in the first place. All (well, most, there's a lot of that Harlem double-talk in there) of what Dame said was credible, he just didn't give specific details on how to do shyt, so I assume that's what your issue is? Saying you need to be your own boss, saying you need to have confidence in yourself, shyt like this IS credible, he just didn't detail how to do that exactly, but I'm thinking anybody who TRULY wants that doesn't need those details from him, he'll go and figure it out on his own. You say it's simple information - and it is when you already know the information - but considering how many motherfukkers are out here lost, wasting their lives away in dead end jobs when they could be building something for themselves, clearly it's NOT that simple. :yeshrug:

I didn't expect Dame to walk anyone through anything. Here let me give you some examples because he wasn't saying much of anything credible.

1.) He says to Envy he can't pass anything down to his son. He's wrong. Envy owns stock in the place he works. Envy has assets. Dame can't even tell his son where the RocaFella Cash Flow Statement from 2003 is located.

2.) Dame spouts off about Dash Motors but never goes into detail how he started it. BE A BOSS!. No knowledge dropped on how that industry generates profit.

3.) He tells people a real man uses their own money to start a business and not depend on others. This is probably the worst advice you can give to someone who wants to work on their own. He didn't tell you how loans work, how He leveraged his money and where it failed and worked - nothing.

4.) Saving is for suckers! Not realizing that you have to save money at some point to get enough to start a business. You also need to save money to switch it over to an investment later (or vice versa) depending on the business climate.

This is what I'm talking about. We all want black people to prosper and want businesses to make it. But yall caping for a dude who isn't actually saying anything. How you gonna call this an inspiration when he isn't giving you any food? He came on the show and disrespected Envy when Envy is actually in the industry and making bread that Dame can't even see anymore. Yall quick to peep a scam artist like Creflo Dollar but get :ohhh: when Dash is talking trash. Maybe you can get inspired by empty details and false knowledge but I won't and I'll always call the cats out that do it. I'm all for black empowerment and to do that I'll expose those that would mislead people.

1) Dame was saying that Envy couldn't pass the radio station on to son (which he can't). Dame never said anything about Envy's stocks/assets... I didn't even take that as Dame going at Envy personally as much as making a point in general, which is true (that's how I took it). If you're a janitor your whole life, you can't pass that job down to your child.

2) Did anybody even ask him how he started Dash Motors? If somebody wanted the knowledge on how that industry works, they could Google it. There's no excuse, in 2015, to have to wait for one person to tell anything.

3) That's not the worst advice to give somebody. If you take something from somebody, you're beholden to that person. That's not even business, that's LIFE rules. You've gotta pay the cost to be the boss. Mark Cuban would tell you the same thing about not taking a loan to start your business; I assume you'd rather hear it from somebody like that. :mjpls:

4) You don't have to save to start a business, it just depends on what business you want to start. As far as the whole "saving is for suckers" I understand what Dame is saying but I personally don't agree. A lot of the responses on here make me think y'all think I'm Dame's promoter something, I don't agree with everything dude says either.

And maybe this is where we differ. You're looking for inspiration or somebody to tell you how to do something, or more or less, looking for a boss... I'M NOT. I have a different mentality. I'm not clicking on a Damon Dash interview thinking I'm about to be in a Harvard business seminar.
