I'll give him a benefit of the doubt....maybe he owns the social media he using to communicate

If you OWN the social media network, you allowed to say "social media" and keep your manhood.

But if you USE social media, effectively using someone elses platform, which puts you in the position to call the owner of the given platform your BOSS aka your daddy, you're not a real man.

But if that platform is more like a partnership then I can walk away any time I want . You see the nikkas that I grew up with instilled in me a certain logic. If you can't walk away from a business venture with what camenin with then you can't call yourself a man.

Of course the ATL
Nah hip-hop needs Dame Dash. He's delusional but has several good points.

Besides Dame's outlandish bullshyt, I thought it was a good interview. His message was about ownership and generational ownership & wealth. I don't see how anybody can disagree with:

1. Not wanting a boss
2. Owning something for your kids

fukk a job brehs :manny: put ya own money up and build it yaself. We as brehs gotta challenge ourselves to do more of that

The fact that this interview sparked the debate about ownership (it's pros, it's cons, the right / wrong way to go about it, having something to pass down to your kids, etc) makes it the best Breakfast Club interview hands down.

Plus Dame vs Envy and Dame ethering Charlamagne was just :banderas:

when people don't understand somebody they start throwin insults out. ya'll bums stay talkin shyt about dame. every black person should have his mentality when it comes to business and ownership.

well as a business owner that qualifies me to tell you that the only decent thing that came out of his interview was about business ownership.... everything else was utter nonsense and i can see why he went broke..... anyone who wants to go into business for themselves and listens to this dudes claptrap will end up like him

People lose fortunes all the time..... Trump, Simon Cowell etc... the really good business men bounce back....obviously Dame aint as great a businessman as he pretends to be...

I honestly preferred this dude when he was pouring champagne over bytches being an arrogant a$$hole because at least he wasnt being a hypocrite..

now dude thinks hes brother Polight....smh

its funny how he always has something to say but the minute anyone asks him about Beans money or Jimmys money he gets quiet ....

Freedom is time and economic freedom. Makes no sense if you never see your kids grow up with all the money in the world. Or the other way around. Wealth is a team sport.

Im a black business owner and Dame speaks so much crap it would be laughable If not for the fact that people actually listen to his nonsense...

he reminds me of these prosperity preachers , 20% truth 80% bullshyt...

The funny thing is anyone with half a brain would rip his arguments to shreds one by one and expose him for the nonsense he spouts.... he reminds me of people like Mos Def and Lupe who spout nonsense in hip hop interviews and then the minute they are interviewed by journalists who have a degree of intelligence end up looking like fools.....

dude just makes himself look more and more ridiculous as time goes on
Why don't you elaborate on the bullshyt that he was talking?

I got an angle that Dame was really directing all that at Envy but made it more general to make it less confrontational. He knows how long envy has been in the game and thinks envy should be a boss.

He expressed the view that being a drug dealer and getting work is more respectable than having a legit job with a boss.

Crack dealer >>> Lawyer and doctor.

I know what Dame is talking about, like I said his delivery aint the best and if you focus on his delivery and his word choice rather than the meaning theres a good chance you got your feelings hurt. People got some of the obvious gems but the bulk of the interview people refute the message because they dont like the messenger. The interview wasnt long enough to cover all the angles and have him break it down for the lil nikkas. maybe someone else will interview him and break it down.

At the end of the day you should be leaving your child with more than just cash but reasonable assets, a house, a business, while they have their own. They shouldnt 'need' yours. The reality is people are leaving their kids in debt and broke. Like "Damn, dad died out of nowhere I need help paying for his funeral"

You have to be joking. The only thing that he actually said with some value is the actual word "own." That word is what sparked the discussions and debates. Everything he said about it was complete and utter bs. That's the truth. He said "fukk your life" and your taking it as him speaking gospel and saying "this is how you do it." The irony is that it's coming from a man that doesn't own ish outside of the masters to Reasonable Doubt. He didn't even show his Roc artists how to do it, he burned them all. It has nothing to do with not liking Dame. Prior to this interview, most people respected Dame for his hustle, and at least pushing Jay-Z into the artist/success that he became. He also did the same for Cam and Kanye to a degree. What really happened with those artists is that someone with sense told them "you're your own brand, a business; you don't need Dame to attach your name to anything and make more money."

Also, 99.9% of debts die with the person by default. And if you have a 401K/403B/IRA/bonds/shares, those are assets that you do leave your next of by default...but Dame said "that means nothing." Black people get so caught up in titles and saying that they own, that they try to reinvent the wheel instead of using models that are already established and utilized by others. Like I've said, why would you want to own 100% of a company that is worth $0? You can do that with ease by just registering your company name for a few hundred. There you go, you're an owner. Does that mean that your business is profitable? Nope, it don't mean sh!t.

That the proper way to accumulate wealth is to get in, make a profit, CASH OUT..then do it all over again. And make sure that you invest in other projects. Get in make a profit and cash out. You own 100% of a company, you overprice it and sell 50% of it. It makes absolutely zero sense to be proud of owning a company in the red. It was also BS about investing in yourself as he put it. He basically said to take the money you made and pay your own salary. That's some Ponzi Scheme ish, if I've ever heard one. Pyramid scheme hustler.
