Already in this short clip Mike was questioning shyt Dame was saying and looking at him crazy.

This is actually really interesting to watch...their energies are sooooo different...its almost like Mike's calmness and lack of ego shows Dame's ego that much more.

been waiting for Mike to drop the video...but listening to the audio version, Mke does take it to more philosophical places. Dame's also a little more reserved, amd for the most part lets Mike talk then he responds.

Flex is big because of his show...even still...he's primarily known as a NYC Dj...

Clue had every advantage you could have in the 2000s and he squandered it. Desert Storm has been non-existent for 15 years and he didn't continue to hustle in the digital age.

For example, Flex is known because he embraced social media via Karen Civil. Remember InFlexWeTrust was the Twitter version of ThisIs50. He goes viral every few months.

Clue on the otherhand is largely forgotten and unknown outside of NY. He had all the relationships and the ear, but just never put the work in to go next level. Everybody who was under him quickly surpassed him and they all say how lazy he was.

Not Khaled as in the loudness but Khaled in the fact Clue had the exact same lane, made the exact same type of albums, had talent under him and knew hits.

Don't get it twisted, Clue talked and pioneered strategic name drops on hits. Problem was he never applied himself they way a DJ Drama or even Funkmaster Flex did. He had Fabolous and Desert Storm, yet he fumbled the situation and most don't even associate Fab with him anymore.

He's trying to be more social the way he should have did 15 years ago but it's kinda too late. None of his interviews or freestyles go viral. That's a shame because he's pretty much the inventor of it.

Clue was too content being the big name in NY due to mixtapes and never worked to truly create any kind of empire. Bascialy he never went digital and got lazy off his mid-90s work.

In theory, Envy should not be held in a higher regard than his mentor. But, hard work beats talent when talent don't work hard.

Different times. Neither Flex, nor Slay became what Khaled did. And Drama is still basically Clue of ATL. Khaled hit the perfect storm of timing with the sound, connects, and a shift in industry. There was not a Khaled before, and there won't be another, no matter how many tried to duplicate the formula.

Envy isn't known for DJing these days he's a radio personality. and if not for the Breakfast Club taking off the way it did, he'd be forgotten.
