As cold as it sounds...Kawhi is great at basketball...but that's it...he is not a leader...he is not charismatic...he is not a recruiter...he isn't James Harden who can reach out to Chris Paul and convince him to walk away from a shyt ton of money in LA and come to Houston on a 1 year deal...he is not Draymond Green who can convince KD to leave the only team he has ever played for WHILE playing against him...he's no Manu or Tony who might be out with an injury but guess what those guys are such natural born leaders that even when they out hurt you can call a timeout and let them run your huddle like a fukking coach...he is no Tim Duncan where every single time LMA gets in his feels Duncan shows up on some "daddy needs to set you straight" shyt...Kawhi is just a basketball player who is great at offense and great at defense and when he is out hurt he is great at nothing...over a quad injury...that doesn't require surgery...that he has been resting and rehabbing basically since the summer...that he himself has never described past "doesn't feel right"...

Lots of flags in this situation and all them shyts is crimson...

There is no bright side to a franchise player basically missing a season over a sore quad but there is some expectation that he still going to get a 200 million dollar contract because...?

Jimmy Butler tore his meniscus months after Kawhi sore quad and it is entirely possible this dude is back on the court playing basketball before Kawhi is for a coach who sure as shyt is going to drive him into the fukking ground...

Kawhi needs to just come out and say he wanna leave. You get paid millions to play a kids game.

If he is not seriously hurt I can't respect it. If he is seriously hurt he needs to be somewhere rehabbing and working on getting right. Plus as you get older you never going to be 100% of your younger self. You don't have the same ability anymore. Father Time is undefeated you just give what you can. It's a job, shouldn't be taking it for granted accepting paychecks for sitting on your ass.

You can't be cooking your teammates in practice and talking bout I don't feel right to play the real games...

Yeah so after Parkers "my injury was 100 times worse" speech...

It just seems kind of obvious now that the players on this team don't even respect Kawhi anymore...

Cause Tony just tactfully shytted on dude about as much as you can tactfully shyt on a teammate...

Zero evidence his injury was misdiagnosed...

Not one person has ever said it was...and with all the stuff coming out by now, if it had been misdiagnosed I feel pretty sure people in Kawhi camp would be saying so since dude is being thrown under the bus something fierce by pretty much everybody but RC at this point...

If he isnt coming back this season he should just flat out come out and say it

he kept his teammates and the organization in limbo for long enough

But I will say this.....he better be raring to go on opening day next season

It’s not hard to read between these lines.

Though some Spurs reportedly told Leonard to return only once he feels ready, Parker is clearly applying pressure. It’s not working, but he’s apparently not stopping.

These comments don’t befit a healthy organization, which is just so stunning for the Spurs, whose excellent culture has been exalted for year.

Maybe Parker will get his wish, and a shamed-into-playing Leonard will lead San Antonio deep into the playoffs. But it seems more likely these quotes will just increase tension.
