You guys are missing a lot of context here. There's a reason Tariq's recent Trump tweet has 4 times as many likes as his other democratic shaming tweets (with many of those likes coming from Trump supporters). No one here truly believes Tariq supports Trump, however the vagueness of that tweet comes sandwiched between two other controversial tweets that got people upset and his followers and other pro-black people confused.
Separate threads were made for each of the tweets on here at the time also because they seemed out left field even for Tariq.
I suggest you guys watch Omawale's Twitter video. He's an influential Pan-African and he runs in the same circles as some of those scholars that appeared in Hidden Colors.

If the expectations is to get something tangible like reparations black native should absolutely be putting money together to control Washington/ local politicians like apac or any political group. If the expectation is to just complain on the net and make money I guess the other option is ok too.
