I am amazed how scotch free Kanye is gettin' off in this thread.
I want to blame it on everyone's (rightful) Dame fatigue, but, no. Somehow even Jay-Z managed to be criticized more than Kanye, in a thread about Kanye's disloyalty.
We got ppl in here talmbout
"it's just business/he don't owe them a thing." And ya'll prolly the same ones who thought
Jay stole Kanye from Dame,
Jay is a snake for the stuff he did in Big Brother,
Jay never believed in him, Dame did, etc.

And supposedly, Kanye was the most pro-black rapper, when
Yeezus dropped, now; it's
all business
Look, Biggs got himself 5 years, but, that's not grounds to completely ignore someone who started your career, basically. Especially with all the stuntin' and black empowerment stuff, recently. Dame has a right to be upset.
And now, it makes more sense why Kanye left with Jay. He seems to have been leaning that way fora minute.
what the hell is dame end game with all this
I was actually listening to his last interview with
@CombatJack and I'm even more upset he had to go off and get salty over the Joey IE interview (I haven't heard it, yet).
Dame actually dropped a lot of knowledge about the music industry and it was refreshing to hear it. Like
@StillNotSoft says; these
Me & My Barber vids go all everywhere and sound like rants. He's even dropped some jewels in 'nem, but,
@CombatJack had him more grounded. Now, he's just airing out his personal griefs.
I honestly think this is some kind of passive aggresive attack at Jay for not handling Biggs legal fees and all that...jay had a way longer and stronger relationship with Bigs than ye did...if he's hurting like THAT, why wouldn't Jay be more beholden to hold him down than ye...but it's like dame is ashamed to call jay out, so he does it thru proxy via kanye

And Jay-Z's surprise appearance, in this thread.
Probably tryna prop his barber/ interviewer up to take my spot.

Stop it,
@CombatJack.
I actually re listened to Dame Dash II, today, and it sounded like he could get something, in the future, real dope from you two. But, Dame had to go off about the Joey IE interview.
I still have yet to hear it, though.
The Chuck D interview is beautiful, too.
Does no one see any value in the principles Dame is talking about? Forget about who's sayin it for a moment, is there any value in the message? Lol... I think his point was, with all the assistance Kanye has benefitted from, he has not used his enormous influence and position to reciprocate some of the blessings bestowed upon him, to THOSE who bestowed them. Neither socially nor financially. These are the types of antics that don't go UNCHECKED in the real world amongst friends. But in the entertainment industry, it happens quite frequently. This then becomes the "Norm", and if not giving a fuc about the people who are partially responsible for your current success, status, and well being is the "Norm", then maybe it needs to become the "Norm" for nikkas who don't agree with that sentiment to speak out against it. I never heard Dame say Biggs was broke (Even if he was, it wouldn't matter. Thats why you've invested your time, money, and energy into PEOPLE like Kanye, and given them access to YOUR personal resources and relationships, in order to further develop the OVERALL network, and bring new friendships and alliances to the table as well, so that in the event you have to go away, or fall on hard times, those same people can help you sustain and get back on your feet if necessary....). Hell, invite the mans wife and kids to the concert when you in town. Send da nikka a Christmas card wit some flicks of the new Adidas line or somethin, write a rant or somethin dedicated to him,.. Give him a number to hit you up, see how he doin, listen to his ideas, let him hear a couple of new songs on speaker phone. Give him some inspiration and energy to feed off of while your star is still SHININ! Those things cost you NOTHING
Well, we gotta ask ourselves, Was it business when Dame was payin hospital bills and month long hotel stays in Cali when you broke your jaw, when you were just makin BEATS (That he was BUYING FROM YOU).... Was it business when he was paying for you to shoot videos, cause the parent label wouldn't open a budget for you.. And he's sayin he did ALL OF THAT OFF THE STRENGTH OF BIGGS...Was it business when you was callin those same nikkas to hold you down and not get your chains snatched? Was it business when Dame had to step in and help stop you from gettin beat up in YOUR OWN CITY? Is it business when the very same shyt that got the dude locked up right now is the SAME shyt THAT Helped START THE LABEL THAT YOU WERE ABLE TO JUMPSTART YOUR CAREER ON... thats the thing, it can't jUST BE BUSINESS WHEN IT's CONVENIENT... and WE, being WHO WE ARE can't afford to buy into that it's JUST BUSINESS shyt... No it's personal in HIP HOP, always has been..Business is EVEN PERSONAL... Especially when the business was started based on personal relationships.. Lol.. How you think Kanye got to them in the FIRST PLACE? (Through PERSONAL relationships that eventually led to BUSINESS). I'm not sayin Kanye is totally at fault here, because I don't know all the details, but from the outside lookin in, I can see why Dame might be a little frustrated wit him. Lol
+rep
Kanye was talk talkin' the same culture vulture/pro-black stuff just last year and thecoli ate it up like Fruity Pebbles.
But, now, Dame's crazy for expecting it IRL.
