The cut to black aligned with the earlier conversation he had with Bobby when Bobby said “You probably don't even hear it when it happens". The ending is ambiguous I guess but it’s hard to argue that he didn’t die

There’s another scene in that same episode where Tony is sitting by the lake, hears a bell chime off twice, and keeps looking over at it. Surprised it’s not on YouTube. Bells seem to be the harbinger of death on this show, and that goes all the way back to the first season.

:ohhh:

i’ve seen them break down the shot reverse shots in the last episode and especially the last scene.

hes definitely dead. the “cut to black” is tony sopranos point of view, which is nothing because hes dead

edit: and it was probably patsy, maybe working with paulie, who had it done
Nope. It's New York imo.

The NJ crew is decimated with Silvio in ICU and the rest of the main players dead.

I thought this was known.

:ld:
Anyone who really watched the show saw the clues Butch was demanding that Tony be killed even before Phil wanted to. Why would he allow Tony to live? He sold out Phil to get the Big Chair then killed Tony. Paulie was already down to join New York anyway and like Sil never really wanted to be a boss so he'd accept running North Jersey for Butch.

It's been the main theory. But David chase actually confirming it for the first time is kinda a big deal
I thin the door is closed on more Sopranos shyt so he answered. The Movie was low key corny but even there they showed him inside Holstein's so it was an obvious reference and in the scene just before dikkie got hit.

Many Saints was all over the place. They tried to squeeze in too many references to the series.

It was obvious that he got merked. The sopranos WILL NEVER fukk WITH THE WIRE THOUGH. SOPRANOS AND THESE MOB SHOWS ARE OVERRATED AND BORING. Never saw the fascination or interest with the mafia, goodfellas shyt.

DID THE WIRE HELP U COME OUT THE CLOSET?

I mean, still doesn't settle who the hitman was :manny:

I think it was Spoons' twin :manny:
I think the point is that it could've been anyone or a nobody. Tony thinks he's a better man than he actually is, to the point where he can't tell just how threatening and hated he can actually be. And often times big men are brought down by random people like jfk getting Merc'd by Oswald or Franz Ferdinand by some Serbian kid.

The Wire was clearly a superior show, but I understand why people fukk with The Sopranos The Wire talked about the system there's already enough hood movies with smart but Ruthless Black Bosses but we needed a show that just didn't show nikkas killing each other willy nilly. Most people didn't like season 2 or season 4 but both were necessary to show the corruption of the whole system. The Sopranos was an easier watch it was about a family and a crew and the funny and sad shyt that they did.
