imagine being interrogated for 18 hours straight with no food or water.
threats being made concerning your family, freedom, etc...
lies being put into your head...and you are only 14 years old.

most adults would break under that.

And he was basically slow...didn't know what he was getting into. Detroit doesn't care. All they want is numbers for closure

Plenty of studies and videos are out showing and explaining how police coerce false confessions and why people do it.

This kid is probably a little slow and he's blind in one eye. Dude probably got told if he admitted what the police were hinting at then he could go home. He didn't even have a parent or lawyer present which i am pretty sure is illegal as fukk with a 14 year old kid.

I remember this story. He also was slightly mentally disabled and they coerced him into confessing. Then when he went to prison the inmates were terrorizing him. He probably will never be the same. Some sad shyt

the Detroit police system is the absolute WORST in the country. They are LONG over due for somebody to get to busting on them. That's why when the guy got to in the precinct some years back NOBODY felt any remorse for them
