So basically, let's not ever critically discuss music, movies, food, books, essays, video games, clothing, or any other consumable good physical or not?
Reviews affect all those things livelihoods. It is LITERALLY just business. If you can't handle public scrutiny then go work at State Farm or something.
It matters not if its a normal person or someone on social media. We've all seen bad reviews go viral that are made by totally anonymous people. But on the flip side, there's plenty of restaurants that have been torn to shreds by educated, professional food critics and shut down because they didn't keep up with the standard. Word of mouth is one of the single most important elements to being a restaurateur, and to do that you gotta treat EVERYONE well. Regardless if they got social followings or not.
If I take my money and buy a Ferrari then get drunk and crash it into a wall two months later, I can't blame Ferrari for their car or my state for its roads. I CRASHED I because I was driving like a dikkhead and wasted my money. If you open a resturaunt and don't provide good service or don't provide good food...that's not the reviewers fault. That's on you.
