I don't wonder if you're stupid. I know you're dumb as fukk. The talk is correct. You're soft and can't handle criticism if you get that much in your feelings about a bad review. Take that energy and improve your food and service. That's what a level headed, smart business owner would do.

They are fukking with their own money by running a trash business. Imagine people trying to run a fade with Ebert and Roper :heh:

The entitlement is outta control for these small business owners that treat their customer base like lick or drug addicts.

Corporations like Chick-Fil-A still want customer feedback, but your small time business doesn't? :mjlol:

A lot of finesseing going on. Wanna be Big Meechs running around, bossing people around over FOOD. FOOD! A lot of crabs in a barrel with $$$ in ATL.

Go ahead and start gun clapping the Keith Lees that are merely trying to inform you, all you're doing is proving that ATL culture are the crabs that they accuse other cities to be.

Did they ask him to review their restaurant?

You can't just fukk with people livelihoods and expect then to treat it as just business. When people can't pay bills, they'll get emotional.
How about don't open a business if you can't provide or can't ensure that your employees can provide adequate service? Nobody goes out with a plan to spend money on not having a good time. That means they wasted time and money. Just as bad as fukin with someone's livelihood, except the customers don't bring it on themselves.

I like reviews to be fair and factual. If you as a business owner can't perform, then you either need to get your shyt straight or get out of the business

I wonder how many dope boys sponsored these restaurants

This surprising but not really

:heh:

I’m surprised it took someone so long to make this point. Restaurants are sometimes opened by chefs mom and pops, and chains. Others just show up outta nowhere, and they have no passion for service or food because their only function is to launder money

YES. That’s the whole point. They ASK AND BEG him to review their restaurants. He tells everyone he’s going to be honest no matter what, and they still want him to review them.

Again his supposed negative criticisms are really anything but. Very tame due to his man of god nature.

The outrage is really how these owners respond. They ask him to review them, but if it’s not a good experience then it’s suddenly “who’s Keith Lee” (when again you knew damn well who he is since you wanted him to come review your restaurant lol) or calling him autistic or threatening his family. These owners so full of themselves…….

I have a degree in hospitality (hotel and restaurant management) and I’ve been a manager at several different restaurants and am currently a restaurant manager in a predominantly black area.

I can say with 100% honesty and certainty that black people across the country give some of the WOAT customer service.

1. Many of us lack professionalism.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve told one of my employees “watch your tone and how you address the customer” and their response was some bullshyt like “I’m in a bad mood” or “I’m having a bad day”.

My response is always “so fukking what?” Customers shouldn’t have to suffer because you’re in a bad mood.

It’s a toxic ass mentality to have. But these are the same people wanting to bytch about the minimum wage.

2. Many of us can’t take any type of criticism, this thread being evidence of that.

Running a restaurant isn’t that damn hard, the issue is people overcomplicate it with their egos.

People are LITERALLY telling you what they want and how to improve and rather than taking notes and coming up with a plan, you resort to making excuses and wanting to shout them down.

Or worse yet, you want to resort to death threats.

If he had done a negative review of a white owned establishment and gotten threatened for it, we’d say it’s racism.

But we’re supposed to tolerate that foolishness from our own.

3. We move with no sense of urgency.

If you got a bunch of customers waiting, they don’t want to see and/or hear your staff standing around bullshytting and talking about the game or the latest episode of L&HH.

I always tell my people, if you hate dealing with customers so much, get them in and get them out so you don’t have to deal with them for longer than necessary.

This ain’t just an Atlanta thing. It’s a harsh truth, but it needs to be said.

And I’ve seen other races of people give poor customer service, but I take it way more personally when I see a black person mistreating another black person.

We can’t scream “support black owned businesses” but then make excuses for poor customer service. :camby:

You post like someone who has crashed a car into a wall.

I'm not going to unpackage any of your gibberish. The fact of the matter is influential people's views has a greater impact. This point is reinforced by influential people being able to make a lot of money from endorsement.

Someone with a following criticising someone business is going to do more damage than some regular person leaving their 2 cents. Trying to act as though they're the same means you're dishonest or stupid.

When your word has the power to negate all that someone has done, you'd have to be a fool to expect to go on about your day without any kind of push back. It isn't going to happen.

As much as you internet tough guys try an act as though everyone else is being soft, you're the one revealing your soft underbelly. It's like you've spent so much time on the internet that you've forgotten that some people play by a different set of rules, that people often move to violence when unsettled.

Bro, what the fukk are you talking about?

1. I have crashed a car. It was my fault. I didn't run up to Honda with the stick talmbout "the brakes was fukked up". No...I DIDN'T SERVICE MY BRAKES. My fault. Stop absolving people of personal responsibility. These are grown ass adults.

2. Keith Lee doesn't go into these places himself, he sends secret shoppers. Which means they have to provide good service to EVERYONE. That should be a mantra in everyone's business. If you don't then its not good business and you're throwing your own money away.

3. If you aren't prepared for backlash, and have to resort to violence, you aren't ready for actual business. Period. "All the work you done" was some bullshyt. Can't believe you'd go out here and cape for someone being REALLY BAD at their job just because you want to be contrarian.

4. I have never in all my days heard of Anthony Bourdain, Rocco DiSpirito, Bobby Flay, fukking Salt Bae or any actual restauranter resorting to VIOLENCE because they got bad reviews. This nikka Salt Bae got TORCHED for his restaurant in NYC. You see this nikka sending goons to the New Yorker? Or the Times? Or social media influencers? fukk outa here.

5. I live in one of the Blackest cities in America, street shyt happens every hour. nikkas are not getting tuned up over restaurant reviews. You're the one putting stock in internet goons talking greasy like they about to do something. Shooting someone because they didn't like your eatery is fukkING SOFT.

And all your mental gymnastics don't make it any less bytch made.

- This is the infuriating shyt about it. Not to mention, most ot the changes people want are FREE OR LOW-COST! Printing out dietary information takes an hour tops and $2.00 at Kinkos.

- Proper training is a day of extra payroll TOPS.

- The manager coming by to check on the tables is fukkING FREE.

Cats are just lazy as fukk and proof that many of these people just want to flex for IG and don't actually believe in their product/experience.

It boils down to service-oriented jobs being the only real jobs available and the old paradigm of a factory/warehouse where you just build random shyt and not talk to any customers isn't around (much) anymore. Somehow, when those factory unionized jobs gotten outsourced post 1980, a lot of black folk couldnt mentally adjust to the new norm of the hospitality business. You can tell a lot of these workers be better off at a warehouse, but they don't like heavy labor.

THIS! Can’t tell you how many times I’ve either had to get something basic or nothing at all due to these spots not having nutritional fact sheets. I have a very specific diet and I’m not gonna croak over cause it’s an inconvenience to you to have a fact sheet. Sad part is a particular bad experience I had was at a Black vegan restaurant in Dallas/Ft Worth.
