Heard a line where he says "my nikka, u caught your first body and I'm proud of you"
:snoop:

Just......wow:wow:

I listen to it but I'm in a situation to know better than to take it for more than it is, the youth ain't fortunate enough to say the same

Thank you. This music is INTENTIONALLY targeted at the impressionable youth who has little to no parental guidance.

Me and you can listen to it as "just entertainment" but there ARE people (even grownups) who live by what these rappers say and do

Yep, and the hyper social media doesn't make it any better for the sheepish youth

This is the reason that we no longer control and dictate hip-hop:

http://www.thecoli.com/threads/kendrick-out-here-curing-life-long-depression-with-his-shows.427906/

Its extremely powerful and has the power to positively impact lives and mindsets. This is why 90% of mainstream rap teaches destructive behaviour:

This is why you guys can only name 2-3 rappers in the mainstream who are "different" while the vast majority promote criminal and destructive behaviour. This is why you have to "dig and find" the positive artists. This is all by design btw.

and yet the OVERWHELMING majority don't rap like that........why?

Cause its easy to be ignorant than smart. Also quicker way to make money
Also the ignorant shyt is what the current generation is living out. People just love being ignorant.

But unlike me having parents who raised me on good music, most of these cats are hearing their music from their parents who also listen to ignorant shyt or their friends. If I had a child I would not be playing none of that shyt around him or her, and make it a point to where if they hear that ignorant shyt they dislike it.
Once they reach a a certain age they will know that it is just entertainment.

And also, I can't stress enough that this is BY DESIGN. There has been numerous comments made by rappers disclosing how labels have dictated what they can and cannot rap about. In this vid its talked about how the label wouldn't allow a song about police brutality to be included on one of young buck's albums:

Keep in mind who controls and dictates the genre. Keep in mind who signs your favorite rappers checks.

All that is true even the rappers out now like Kendrick and J Cole seem limited on what they can say because of money and status. It seems like low level stuff, but I still respect them for even getting some of the message out.

Yeah and that's the thing when I was coming up I could turn on the TV or the radio and could hear different types of music different types of rap music it might have been Bone Thugs it might have been Fugees but it was never the same thing over and over like today if it's not trap it's not on the radio outside of J.Cole everything inconsistent rotation is pills pills pills girls money when was the last time you heard the song that was new that made you think outside of J.Cole are Kendrick that's not enough that's not even close to enough the problem is there's no variety none and it feels like is that way for a reason I want to blame white people in the media but I can't completely we are literally selling ourselves out again let's look at TV. What's the most popular things on TV right now.

Outside of your Game of Thrones and Walking Dead the general population is watching your house wives Love & Hip Hop and Empire

Funny thing about that is just this morning when I got into work there's a group of women discussing Empire two of these women are Lily there's nothing Urban about them when they're at home taking in information you can bet that subconsciously they think black people are similar to what they see on Empire Housewives Love & Hip Hop...etc etc

So imagine what people worldwide who don't have access or are not around black people often think.

Edit:

I'm using voice commands talk to text so if this comes out weird or random that's why..

Wow.

Compare a music genre to a disease that literally destroys ones body and possible kills you. That totally isn't downplaying or minimalizing the population who carry that possible biological death sentence.

I love overly dramatic ultimatums like this that are only crafted in a sense to rack up a few more extra views then if they went with a more open truly open ended dissertation.

They appeal to self righteous dullards (like the op) who insist that everything in life has to have this black or white, simplified classification and that there aren't numerous variables that actually contribute to the ills they believe is afflicting society.

but what the fukk do I know, I'm just approaching this tired topic critically, I should just post Umar Johnson videos ad nauseam and think that art always has to be positive and enlightening

Oh wait people actually did that already :mjlol:

Degenerative poison that should be nowhere near the ears of any Black Person under 25.

Only those who hold it as their secondary bible will deny and downplay it's negative influence like how religious people do with their books. But will at the same time acknowledge propaganda, along with it's power and effects in other formats/mediums such as print, film and television along with "White Supremacy":francis:

Heck they'll even use terms such as "industry plants" well who runs the industry? :snoop: yet hip-hop is somehow magically immune from "White Supremacy" even though you're terms as such :what:
