Always remember in order to control a mass group of people, you must first gain control of their minds:

This has been a tactic used against us since we arrived here in Amerikkka, whether it was the BIBLE or pitting light skin slaves against darkskin slaves.

Hiphop is currently being used to do this.

That's not true. The highest grossing rapper in 2015 was Cole
LMAO, why do you keep using one off examples like the majority isn't rappin like that?

when I say majority that also implies a minority, in which dudes like Kendrick and Cole apply.

but what about the other 1000's of rappers that are poppin off right now?

Degenerative poison that should be nowhere near the ears of any Black Person under 25.

Only those who hold it as their secondary bible will deny and downplay it's negative influence like how religious people do with their books. But will at the same time acknowledge propaganda, along with it's power and effects in other formats/mediums such as print, film and television along with "White Supremacy":francis:

Heck they'll even use terms such as "industry plants" well who runs the industry? :snoop: yet hip-hop is somehow magically immune from "White Supremacy" even though you're terms as such :what:
this.:pachaha: Hiphop is only the most powerful and influential artform in the universe and cats think it's a "conspiracy theory" to suggest that our oppressors isn't using it for THEIR benefit:dead:

Cause its easy to be ignorant than smart. Also quicker way to make money
Also the ignorant shyt is what the current generation is living out. People just love being ignorant.

But unlike me having parents who raised me on good music, most of these cats are hearing their music from their parents who also listen to ignorant shyt or their friends. If I had a child I would not be playing none of that shyt around him or her, and make it a point to where if they hear that ignorant shyt they dislike it.
Once they reach a a certain age they will know that it is just entertainment.
so here we go then, no accountability on anyone.

The hypocrisy in rap is that everyone makes a big deal about WHO wrote the lyrics, but where is the outrage over the lies and bullshyt spit in those lyrics?

so you can lie about the life you live and the shyt you do...but god forbid...you should never lie about who wrote those lies.

:stopitslime:

where is the accountability in that? I mean....even ignorant ppl know what a lie is and what isn't.

When we prostitute things like misogyny and violence for the sake of entertainment, we perpetuate villainous ideas as heroic.

:Hubie:
Can't argue with that, as a listener of majority Hip Hop nowadays I accept the bullshyt I hear lyrically because as a whole, the song sounds very good sonically. There's a clear difference from mainstream "cancerous" rap and stuff like Brother Ali. I mean, it goes without question. Yeah, a lot of what is spoke in rap is a reflection of what goes on in real life but for one, rappers don't even live those lives they talk about and two, there needs to be a balance.

So do I think Hip Hop is more of a cancer than a cure? Yes.
Do I think we can change that? Absolutely. I think more now than ever since music doesn't sell commercially like it used to.

I dunno what the answer is :badman: I just know I'm not going to act like I don't see the fukkery in Hip Hop just like I won't act like all Hip Hop is fukked up.

Idk breh to me its just entertainment at the end of the day. I look at it the same way I look at movies :francis:.

But you dont get a pass for using ghostwriters to write that story fiction or not. :stopitslime:

I dont listen to every song so I can relate too it, I listen cause it sounds good. Same thing with movies, its all entertainment to me.:manny:

This is what I respect:salute:

Atleast you're willing to acknowledge it to a degree. I myself, like you LOVE hip-hop and grew up on it (my username is a combo of my 2 fav rappers, phonte' & elzhi) but the more "aware" I've become of past history, systemic oppression and its tactics, it all makes sense to my WHY most of the mainstream rap promotes negativity and criminality. This is all by design.

Denying the fukkery and the effects of hip-hop is just as idiotic as saying that hip-hop is the sole cause of the black plight.
