you guys need to with the DAME DASH and JERMAINE DUPRI comparisons....

they are TWO DIFFERENT ANIMALS...

one thing i can say about Dash is that he came in the game as a BOSS!!

that was his total intention from the jump and didn't take shyt from the TALL ISREALI MEN like LYOR COHEN whom were trying to handle him like some field nicca , and do sheisty shyt like trying to get him to sell his masters, as well as cause division between him and Jay.

Dupri on the other hand...didn't have the balls to tell Tommy Mottala LOOK MOFO give me executive producer credits and respect my brand!! (so so def)

Hell he did so much "leg work" (slave labor) for Tommy and countless other moguls , but never had the balls to just really just boss up...

that's why his name NEVER COMES UP in the discussion of black moguls coming together to form a distribution network (jay-z, diddy, birdman, irv gotti, j prince, suge)......all these cats along with Dash have owned masters and now what it means to secure a JOINT VENTURE distribution deal.

JD is NO dash.........and although Dash has many shortcomings himself , you can NEVER say he wasn't an OWNER at least one time in his life.

Had Dash been Running So So Def, many of these atlanta rappers wouldn't be freelancing in the manner that they do.

well ATL rappers will ALWAYS freelance simply because they have that ENTREPRENURAL SPRIRIT......

southerners always had that "do it yourself" mindset

but i do agree with you on JD being more like a leech than anything....he just latches on to those that have a great creative spirit and rides that wave...

but i guess it goes to the fact that he came up from a priviliged background , being that his dad hooked him up with his first deal and even his ventures after that came about through family and friends like LA REID

But back to his business activities.....even if he ain't creative in that aspect, he could have bossed up like Diddy and just maintain intellectual property on everything he came in contact with.

birdman is the same way..the west coast singer who signed with Cash Money named TQ said that before the song you recorded was even in it's final mix...Birdman had already filed the paperwork with the libary of congress to have it licensed..........

It's a shame Dupri has caught feelings with Usher because he wasn't getting any exec. producer credits after all the work he put in...

that shyt should have been established long before he pushed any buttons in the studio

last year my neighbor and his fiance got new cars fresh off the lot...his fiance car just got repo'd last month

and he was asking me how to go about getting a car loan refinanced...so i guess it's clear that he's about to lose his car as well

also i can't forget my dumb a$$ jumpoff byatch who was sitting in my crib "flossing" her new Iphone and telling me about her plans to go on a cruise this summer with her friends as well as rent out a condo on the beach

yet , just last week she asked me could i rent her a car, cause SHE CAN'T USE HER CREDIT CARDS cause "she's in a rut"......

byatch just basically maxed out everything , due to bad money management and being shallow...

but i made him feel like a fool, when i told him you doing all that while u got DEBT UP TO YOUR KNEES.....
