Lies.

If this is true and you want to get away from your current situation. I can get you a job in about two weeks. A cheap place to stay and all that with a degree like that.
Breh, I haven't held a job in 4 years. My resume is so thin that anyone I sent it to wouldn't use it for anything other than wiping their ass.

You're in college right? Have you interned? If so put it on your resume. No company gives a shyt that you worked at Mcdonalds in high school, that means shyt to them unless you applying at Mcdonalds. Relevant intern experience is more important than random jobs on career resumes.

I could never go to the military. But I've been told by a few people if you go. Do it after you get your BS degree. Higher ranking and more opportunities. Makes sense logically. But fukk it I just can't do it.

But none of your family was drafted or served in the military. You're a US citizen but you'll never be an American. Just like I can move to Nigeria and become a citizen and I'll never be Nigerian.

You have no history in THIS country. And you have no stake in this country. No one in your family paid the price for your freedom in this country. You're here on the backs of these dead "GI Joes"

You're here to have a better life COURTESY OF MY PEOPLE...
I'm as American as the next Black person.

So I graduate from college in May, and I've made the decision to join the military afterwards. I've done some research, and that seems like the best option for me. The number one thing I want to be able to do is financially support myself so I can move away from my father (I can't tolerate that man, and vice versa). The military is a guaranteed paycheck and a place to stay, plus some pretty nice benefits and job training, and you get to play with some badass toys. There are downsides to being in the military of course, but overall I can't see any option better than the military right now.
Please tell me that you at least did the ROTC program for the 4 years you were at college. If you are gonna join the military, you might as well take the best road to get there

That why you get job that are extremely military friendly or military oriented.

It's how I got my job now. My buddy from the navy got out like 3 or 4 years before me and works for the same company I do.

He told me as soon as I get out, he had a job for me and he was right.

They turned me down at first but I still found jobs that paide better but then they hit me up on the fly saying they really need me so I told them to make an offer

I been here for a few months and as far as I know, I've exceeded all expectations if not more. Mainly because I'm a blue collar type guy. I come to work to WORK and I go home to play... I'm everything he said I would be

And that's the thing. You always know someone somewhere that's looking for you if you're a dope worker. I still got other offers if need be but this seems legit so far.

That military buddy system works at times. I got cats overseas that are trying to get me out there strictly in word of mouth.

It truly is like a frat if you use it right

Let me second that. When my husband retired he had job contacts all over the country. Recruiters hitting him up non stop off the strength of his military resume.
We could have relocated anywhere, had our choice.
He interviewed for his current job while he was still in, they flew him out for his interviews. Started working at his current civilian job while he was on terminal leave and still in the Navy.

Paycheck+disability =we living extremely lovely.
