The precedent has been set with Gale Sayers gettin in after a 6 year career. They put Terrell Davis in after only 7 years but it was 7 dominant years. Now you puttin Tony Boselli in there so there should be no more excuses Sterling Sharpe has to get in now
TD only had four great years. Tore his ACL in his fifth season (averaging 3.1 ypc through four games) and was cooked.

Shaun Alexander had one more season of great play and nobody thinks he should get in. Priest Holmes had a similar peak to TD and he's not getting in.

Davis was a bullshyt selection.

There’s another RB who I feel is a great and he had an amazing first four seasons in the league. The rest of his resumè is basura and part of it wasn’t his fault but still, the totality of his career is based off those first four seasons.

1998 NFL MVP
SB MVP
2,000 yd season

Terrell Davis accomplished everything a RB aspires to accomplish in 4 years :mindblown:

He dominated the NFL and was the best player in the league before the ACL

He led the Broncos to back to back SB Titles

He’s a HALL OF FAME RB

He was not the best player in the league. :mjlol:

That Denver team was STACKED. Elway at QB with Rod Smith and McCaffrey at WR and Shannon Sharpe as the TE. That line and Shanahan's system was a cheat code for RBs as well. Every RB they plugged in after Davis had a big to monster season:

Olandis Gary
Mike Anderson
Clinton Portis (look at his numbers from Denver to Washington)
Reuben Droughns
In 2005 Mike Anderson and Tatum Bell both almost hit 1,000 yards (Bell was just short; averaged 5.2 ypc)

People say Shaun Alexander was a system RB because of Hutch and Walter Davis. The same thing applies to Terrell Davis. He has as many MVPs as Davis.

Priest Holmes has the same amount of Pro Bowls and All Pros as TD.

I agree with Prime. I can look at some players and think, damn they one of the best to ever do it. Tony Boselli got in this year and that cac played for a trash franchise and his career only spanned 6 seasons

Dawg stop

Terrell Davis in 1997-1998 was the most dominant player in the NFL

1998 was bananas he was out in the open on every play basically:pachaha:

You wylin yo

None of those Bronco RBs in that zone blocking scheme came close to Terrell Davis
