And anyone who remembers Don Bebe, knows that he was no slouch. We was quick as hell and very fast, but Deion was the epitome of speed and quickness back then.

Peak speed is usually after the 1st 50. That's why Track and Field's shortest sprint is really 100m and not 60m. Sprinters usually don't hit the perfect stride until they are somewhere around 70m.

I always thought he was clocked at 4.2...close to sub 4.20.

When he worked out wth Baltimore back in 05' I think he was clocked at 4.3+

Perhaps I'm mistaken, but I heard that it's 100m because runners don't hit top speed until after 50m. 40m Times just measure quickness and reaction.

yeah he was, and that's no surprise. Bebe back then was probably the fastest on the bills. His speed killed the niners in the NFC championship in 97 when he was on GB. They couldn't stop him. Deion basically had to be walking on air to catch him the way that he did. He sucked him all the way up when he closed in at 10m.

This is true.. Which why I said Deion walkin him down is even more impressive...Dude was at his top peak speed and Deion walked him down when he was barely into 2nd gear...

Ill try to find the article but it said something like you can only maintain top speed for like 15 meters, after that you start slowing down.

I use to tell people years ago, Deion is probably one of the fastest people ever compared to anyone and everyone.
