it’s a tough situation...especially if he’s prone to violent tendencies...depending on how bad his mental illness is he’ll basically just rot in a mental facility especially if there’s no $$$ to pay for a decent one that could provide adequate care if possible...sad shyt...I had a cuz’n who suffered from mental illness his entire life...mom grew up w/ him and said he got fukked up when he fell and hit his head on a rock...I remember as a kid he’d be laying on our front porch crying @ nite and banging on the door...my folks would go out and talk to him and let him sleep there...being younger I thought it was fukked up they wouldn’t let him in the house but as I got older I understood that they had absolutely no idea what mind state he was in so they couldn’t trust him to be in the house as we slept...last I heard dude is in a public mental facility...moms went to see him...dude doesn’t recognize anything or anyone...just drugged up to keep him from being a problem...heard he had one of his legs amputated as a result of diabetes...dude is basically just in there to be forgotten smh
