He's not really scorching though?28ppg but before last nightsn OT he was at around 26 which is about right for him.

His assist numbers are impressive. I know the Spurs are down most if not all their PGs but I didn't know if DeRozan would be able to handle the playmaking responsibility.

He was doing it last year...2 years ago he averaged 35 PPG in the first month eventually came back down to 27....he starts off hot and comes down.

Last year was the first year he was trying to be a playmaker but IMO hes more of an unwilling passer,he only passes and looks for teammates when hes stuck and doesnt have a shot...

Its funny how some dudes are celebrating DeRozan taking a step but hes really doing the same shyt hes always been doing...

Nikka always starts off hot...

He had 34 on 20 shots, needed OT to beat a bad team and was a -7 in 40 mins :russ::mjlol::yeshrug:

Hes not doing anything different. You nikkas just wasnt watching before.
Yep. Its nice to have a star that actually passes the damn ball too

He’s playing better but still struggles with shot selection at times, particularly in crunch time, which has always been the biggest of his issues imo. That said, it’s good to see him thriving. I hope he keeps it up.

I mean he had 21 shots and took OT to beat the Mavs,i mean great statline but we all know that side step jumper aint gonna fall in April assuming they even get to April :yeshrug:

He's clinched all 4 wins for the Spurs in the 4th/OT this year. He takes a lot of tough shots but he's been hitting them hoes

Could flip it and say the same about Kawhi :yeshrug: He had rough stretches against the Clippers in the series loss in 2015. Had some offensive struggles against OKC in 2016. 2017 looked like he might finally turn the corner after the Grizzlies series, then got hurt. 2018 = hurt. Already taking rest days now. If you're going to make assumptions about playoff DeRozan based on past years, might need to do the same about playoff Kawhi (understanding he won MVP in 2014). :manuehh:

The fact you keep going to OT against all these bad teams should let you know something aint right...

I'm saying he's not scorching right now scoring wise . His playmaking should be the topic of discussion regarding his start.

I remember last year before all star break thinking “why is Demar not in the MVP conversation”

Dudes team was #1 and he was putting up great numbers. I could only surmise that it’s cause he played in Toronto people were ignoring him.:yeshrug:

He doesn’t help his case when he’s trash in the post season.

But dude doesn’t get credit for how good he is overall.
