I definitely don't mind the unemployed being taken care of, even if it is a come up, but they do need to do something about us so called "essential workers."

Those brave people working remotely said they are making the sacrifices necessary by staying home and getting paid so that we may continue to work on the frontlines and if we do get sick, well, the curve will be so gosh darned flat that instead of dying on a vent in an overwhelmed COVID triage we can die on a vent in a calm, sterile ICU, with the comfort of knowing we received the same apathetic care we always would. Thanks America.

But seriously though, run us our money. I'm going to need more than a two week "Thanks for risking your health, I guess you aren't just labor trash after all," PR campaign and empty platitudes.

At the very least people deemed essential workers who are still at risk and going out and working should be getting some sort of hazard pay. They should be getting the 600 extra that folks on unemployment are getting.

This would be a good proposal for those who are in extreme need as of now...I don't really see the argument that this would make ppl not want to work again knowing that the money will only last as far their bills (rent, food, utilities, whatever) take it...

I wonder why UPS/FEDEX/Amazon workers aren't getting hit with the Covid all that much?My neighbor works for UPS.

He told me they're just handing out fliers saying "Stay Safe"..No preventive measures to keep their employees safe.

And they have huge azz hubs that employ 2-4 thousand people per hub....All across the US/globally.People touching

packages all day nh.They get a bunch of priority mail, to.Shyt that has to be delivered by the next day.The Rona has to

be surviving on some of the packages being passed around by thousands of people

USPS is not telling everybody the truth..
I’ve heard of offices(specifically in the west coast/east coast)..
That have little to none employees coming in..
Some plants have been exposed as well..
Most are calling in out of concern/not having PPE..
And other cases are being..
Under reported..
If I could tell you the shyt I’ve been hearing over telecons
Y’all better pray we don’t close for a short duration..
Or..
They try to make people work without pay..
The sky has always been falling on us..
But this time I don’t think it’s hyperbole..
UPS/Fedex/Amazon, etc..
Give us 90% of your packages due to the last mile deliveries..
People will be fukked in two ways..
You will be paying an exorbitant amount on shipping..
You won’t be getting checks or medicine..
You can call my post “fear mongering”..

of course it is. what does a 16 yr old soph/jr in hs with no bills look like getting 2000 a month, the same as a 35 yr old making 35-40,000 who might've lost their job and is barely hanging on? i knew as soon as i saw that that it wasn't even a realistic bill.
