Kills me man. Some people think that depression is some shyt like when your spouse leaves you or your career is going bad. Nah, true depression has nothing to do with that kinda shyt. It is an actual disease, not a situation.

A situation, if deemed stressful or adverse to a person, can trigger an episode..which is why I had to define psychology vs. psychiatry. A person continually exposed to adverse environmental triggers can react in the same way without there being physiological issues, which would necessitate the intervention of an M.D. if there were. For example, I might react negatively if I sit in a cramped cubicle all day.. Being in the cubicle triggers my adverse and severe emotional reaction. Once I leave that environment, I feel better.. That would be a trigger for my depressive state and even thinking of returning to that environment can trigger that state as well. So it's not necessarily a physiological issue sometimes on the surface.

I find myself happier when I'm not comparing myselt o my peers, that's hard not to do but when I'm in the hood, honestly I'm at peace.. once I leave the hood and I'm in the burbs and I see young cats married and kids and nice cars I get depressed.

OP is comparing hisself to something and I think that's the problem.

It's hard NOT to do though.

life is a bytch breh. my only suggestion is to stay away from substances, no nicotine, no weed, no alcohol. an find somethings you like to do that you can look forward to like making beats in your spare time or grilling on the weekends, taking your kids camping, hell look forward to showing them new experiences and just watch them live.

i got a 5 year old nephew and a 3 year old niece i found my tent in the garage and you know how kids like to build pillow forts and shyt, they'd never been in a real tent, it wasnt nothin special so i ask my brother and his wife to let them stay the night one night and i set the tent up in the living room and let them sleep in it. to me its was :manny: but to them it was :gladbron::ooh:.

when i get down and can't get myself out of a funk i try to do something for others or with others.

life's a bytch but dont give up, you might as well live breh, its brehs that try to live that usually end up dying. go to the club, maybe someone will end up shootin it up, hell go to the movies, just drive to the grocery store you might get hit by a drunk driver, just try to go to work everyday you might end up having a heart attack or get cancer or something- like i said most people end up dying just by living, no need to off yourself breh.
