It's a goal in life to build a compound and have all your peoples in there
Yeah I don't know if I like the idea of a living in a compound but buying the block is definitely something we should do. I love my relatives to death but I value my privacy/quiet time too.

Fair. Ideally some huge plot of land where everybody got their own crib, yards, etc

I should clarify, my vision isn't to have everyone under one roof, but to have a huge plot of land where everyone can live close, in their own separate homes, etc.
This has always been my dream. Build a big ass family compound in the country. Enough space for privacy from each other, but still able to support each other. I am not a fan of the style but props to breh for taking care of his family.

His money but whatever. I think he is stupid. He will never recoup that money. No one is going to buy that shyt after he passes. Say it cost 2 million and houses there are only 2-300k, no one is going to even going to take a look at it. No one wants a "mansion" in the "ghetto".

Making himself a target, no ROI in something so over improved for the area, can’t unload it and gotta hope he has someone to pass it to who wants it as they won’t be able to unload it either. Maybe it can be transitional housing when he’s done with it
He could’ve just built a bunch of duplicate homes like the first one with nice landscaping and new sidewalks. Could’ve kept the fencing, even. Would’ve contributed way more to property values vs this mini storage lookin shyt….
