Did 2Pac really "run" the year 1996? Or was it either the Fugees or Nas' year?

Who ran the year 1996?

2pac had the world by the balls at that time all the beef all the shyt talking movie roles hit singles & interviews. Every street corner in the world every ghetto was bumpin AEOM then DK7T.

Fugees had the white people rocking with them & nas was bringing that real hip-hop to the mainstream. Even though he sold major records around that time everybody was throwing up the Westside. Plus pac death was like one of the most notable & saddest events in the history of man kind.

You buggin if you think anybody else ran 2006

If you're goin' off the Billboard charts, yes.

If you're goin' off of the actual impact of the music, yes.

If you're going off of what people liked, it varied throughout the year. It was a very stacked year...

But yeah, generally speaking, '96 was Pac's year, before and especially after he died.
nikka he died in sept. It was his year in a lopsided fashion far before that

:ohhh: He died in September? Ya don't say!

Glad you could enlighten me. Especially since I was 16 years old and obviously not cognizant enough to understand at the time.

And lopsided? Not really, but yeah he was in the lead a great deal during that year. His death, however, made his airplay go thru the roof and when the Makaveli album dropped in November, the anticipation was even higher than it was for AEOM.

I never predicted that the results would be so one-sided. I thought it would be a lot closer between the Fugees and 'Pac, but I guess the East Coast-West Coast beef and 'Pac dying helped seal the year for 'Pac.

Lol,I was 17 young man. NOW,AEOM and THE SCORE came out around the same time. Both had huge sales and singles. But AEOM had the album cuts to match. None of fugees album cuts were getting bumped or talked about.
Which is why I say pac was dominating. But when you say "especially after he died" ,i'm like well it was a clear absolutely clear victory prior to that.
