This guy basically says yes, and will cause Africans to distance themselves even more from us. He has an African background, but raised in the states, so I think he makes a good point

It’s just a movie brehs:mjlol:

I'm talking about him shooting his girlfriend, and when they burned the herbs he chokes and lifts that lady. It seemed so out of place. Like just random movie villain trope shyt.

now I agree, those were the only two truly evil parts, although they can still be excused to a degree because the lady had no true position of power, who was she to question the King. Okeye said she was loyal to the throne, no matter who sits upon it. Disobeying royalty like that can result in a far worse penalty than a choke.

I assume the girlfriend knew the risks and the stakes, she wasnt Wakandan and she didnt know KM was of Wakandan blood. Even if she didnt know she was collateral damage, what loyalty did he have to her? Again, not enough context given as to their relationship in a 2 hour flick. Really, you could ask why didnt he just kill Klaue as soon as he met him instead of going to the museum and breaking him out of CIA custody afterwards? Like had he just killed Klaue without all that, the we wouldve never seen the "girlfriend".

There were a lot of question marks in the movie, stuff that may have been left on the cutting room floor. I do agree with you though, those two parts stood out and really just seemed to be thrown in there. I didnt get what you were saying at first.

but the Wakandans fell in to the typical movie theme with the supposed good side breaking all types of rules and ceremonial traditions. Forest Whitaker interfering with the challenge n shyt. The queen wanting someone outside of the royal bloodline to ingest the herb. They were fine when winning but willing to cheat at all costs when losing. Thats where the shyt was the typical white Hollywood cliche as opposed to actual African tradition.

Wakanda
Kilmonger had the right idea but he wasn't the right man to lead. He had too many demons and was trained in fukked up american military tactics. Breh had tyrant written all over him and would have eventually turned on his own people because of paranoia.

The Doras turned on him very quickly, despite deciding to respect his win against T'Challa initially. He would've doomed Wakanda with his actions and tactics. A civil war would've occurred, guaranteed.

Very curious if the MCU will touch on Killmonger's plans, but with a different executor. Wakanda in the comics never went for world domination, even with the villains. T'Challa in the comics often said that Wakanda could do damage globally but never really acted on it as king. M'Baku and the Jabari once tried seceding from Wakanda, so their big plan was always internal, not external. Killmonger only got as far as founding his own advanced village and even becoming temporarily a Black Panther but never got as far as building up for war. Shuri during her time as queen ordered Atlantis destroyed in retaliation for Namor attacking Wakanda, but that's as far as she went.

Closest Wakanda got to taking over was in an alternate reality story by Hudlin in which circumstances has Wakanda clashing with the world, including the major heroes. It was a one-shot and wasn't really detailed but it's something the MCU / Marvel Netflix / Marvel animation can look into later on.
