I’ll give you that offenses are better, but offenses are better in the B10 too:yeshrug:
And the recruiting thing still goes back to my OG point, having individual talent and having good defenses isn’t the same thing.

let me put it one way, LSU had fantastic individual offensive talent for 90% of last decade. Did they have fantastic offenses over that stretch?
I remember when Saban was at LSU the offense was great back then. Even lead them to a title.

The defense was great and had a strong run game, Offense wasn't great by any means. I would love to see Matt Mauck's stats through 12 games next to Burrow's through 12 games last season :dead:

Nah Breh I just checked Burrow faced 3 top ten defenses(#1, 3, and 7) and Cam played 1( Bama #3). Burrow threw for 12 TD 0 int against those defenses too

I have Kyler's season slightly above Bakers, I really have to rewatch Cam's season because so many people bought that season up. Vince Young season was great, but more memorable than Burrow's?

I'm talking about in terms of memorable highlights. Burrow doesn't have the flashy memorable highlights of the other ones, IMO.

But yes statically he had the goat season and it's not really a question

Statistically speaking, Tebow 07 season was better than Cam's season in 10

Yeah, but I feel Cam carried that team moreso than Tebow carrying the 07 team with all the talent we had. Either way...

Are statistics the only metric?

No, overall team success plays a part, as does the overall quality of the player's performances. Burrow beat multiple top ten ranked team and led his team to a dominating championship run while *checks stats*

Throwing 60 TDs and running for 5
Maintaining a 76% pass completion rate
Passing for over 5600 yards

Meanwhile, in Cam's last season he led Auburn to a dominating championship run while *checks stats*

Throwing 30 TDs and running for 20
Maintaining a 66% pass completion rate
Passing for over 2800 yards and rushing for over 1400 yards

How is this even a conversation? They both won chips. They both were unstoppable. But Burrow has better stats by a long shot so...clearly he wins this right? Breh had nearly twice as many pass attempts as Cam and still had less INTs. It's insane.

Doesn't hurt that Burrow had WAAAAAY better talent this past season than Cam

Cam best WR went on to be undrafted
