Did Joe Burrow Have The Best Single Season In College Football History?

I'm talking about in terms of memorable highlights. Burrow doesn't have the flashy memorable highlights of the other ones, IMO.

But yes statically he had the goat season and it's not really a question

the third down run against Bama

the 3 and 15 run against Clemson with 30 sec to go in the half and no time outs

Maintaining a 76% pass completion rate

Meanwhile, in Cam's last season he led Auburn to a dominating championship run while *checks stats*

Throwing 30 TDs and running for 20
Maintaining a 66% pass completion rate
Passing for over 2800 yards and rushing for over 1400 yards

How is this even a conversation? They both won chips. They both were unstoppable. But Burrow has better stats by a long shot so...clearly he wins this right? Breh had nearly twice as many pass attempts as Cam and still had less INTs. It's insane.

It wasn't just the weapons. LSU's weapons were not significantly better than most great college teams. Hell, you could argue Clemson had better weapons. The thing that took them to the next level was the scheme and the QB. And while it was his second year starting, it was his first year running that offense.

Those rankings dont mean shyt. Alabama wasnt the 2nd best team in the country.

I’ll say this. If you switch places I don’t see Burrow doing what Cam did with Auburn but I definitely see Cam winning it with LSU. That puts Cam on par for me at a minimum but that’s my $0.02

I wish cam was in his prime next year for Burrow's rookie Campaign but, it's just not meant to be. It would be great to see both of them in top condition.

You gotta work on your reading comprehension breh, I clearly said Georgia. The point in contention, your post that I was replying to, was comparing Georgia to 2010 USC.

Just the fact that South Carolina beat one of the most talented Alabama offenses (until the past 2 years) ever and looked better than Auburn for 3.5 quarters in Jordan Hare is more than impressive than anything Georgia did this year

Nah Breh I just checked Burrow faced 3 top ten defenses(#1, 3, and 7) and Cam played 1( Bama #3). Burrow threw for 12 TD 0 int against those defenses too

Ill concede the point because my side is mainly what I saw and its subjective, but I will stand on every unit on LSU looking good against defenses versus Cam by himself getting it done. If there were games where LSU's receivers were clamped up and he was making everything happen, I'd feel differently, but I don't think I remember any of those.

The closest I can think of is maybe Auburn, but all they did was take away the deep ball. he had intermediate passes all day plus Edwards Helaire went off that day
