Yeah, I looked into this heavy like 10+ years ago. Jesus never existed. Something about his name wasn't even mentioned until like 200 years after his death or something. I don't really remember what I found, but it convinced me that he never existed
I believe this is based on the fact that all the accounts rest on Paul who apparently never even met Jesus AND the first accounts are dated to 70+ years after the events supposedly happened.

And the josephus testimony is flawed too.

Josephus yelled at a friend because he gave his opinion. Better yet if Josephus writings exist then the article is false because we do have writings from the common era.

We know Josephus is based entirely on hearsay. ENTIRELY.

Thats not good enough.

Even if someone named "Jesus" did exist, this says nothing about his supernatural "abilities" nor does it move him higher than cult leader status.

We have more evidence for Jesus than Aristotle, Tiberus Caesar and Julius Caesar for combined but none of those three existence is in doubt.

It amazes me what is put out by some people and gobbled up as if it is fact. Bart Erhman is back to being a Christian again because he was wrong about his examination of the documents.

Look at the evidence for yourself. It would help a lot.

Josephus was to die because he took part in the Jewish revolt against the Romans. In exchange for his life he became tasked with writing what was going on TRUTHFULLY. If not he would be killed. We also have documents written from Caesar from the prefect about a Jewish teacher performing miracles and raising people from the dead. We have multiple sources about Jesus. They are in museums today.

Your opinion of the historical documents does not stop the scrolls currently in museums from existing.

The article confuses me since the N.T. Is the most accurate historically set of documents we have. 2nd is the Iliad by Homer. Both cannot be true.

THIS QUIZ WAS MENTIONED IN THE ARTICLE, BROTHER! TAKE IT TWICE, DUDE! :sas1:

I know all about that site. Most of them are cut in half and you get half a story. Let me give you an example.

Judas who betrayed Jesus went and hanged himself but before he did he gave the coins back. After hanging till falling down his guts busted out on the ground.

With the coins the Pharisees bought some land to bury the poor in. The same land that was purchased contained Judas and the tree he hanged himself with.

Judas essentially bought the field with his own money but the question on the site will not let you answer it correctly.
