did this warrant a 50 on my final exam?

If I was the teacher I would of gave you a 30

You think you got privileges fukk boy? Welcome to the real world
Nah not at all.

personally, I would give my student maybe 30pts off for not following directions since I know he did have it done on time, and it's very thorough work, he just didn't show up.

Versus a nikka who started it the day of and slapped some words on a 10 page paper, showed up 20 mins late to class because he was cutting it close vs my 30 page assignment that went above and beyond yet he made a 60. (True story)

yes, that's exactly what you should have done.

it's not just turning in the assignment,. there was also a presentation aspect you're completely ignoring.

this is a good life lesson for you, because if you had a presentation to do for a real job, and you bailed so you can celebrate your bday w your brother, you'd probably get fully fired, not 50% fired.

You didn't read the story. My presentation was not until the NEXT class. I did not miss anything except the handing in of the project in a binder.

There were no presentation. I presented on the correct day at the correct time.

i did read the story, just misread the part about the presentation being the next class, my bad. regardless, you knew the assignment was supposed to be brought in and you did not receive permission to submit it electronically. i'm all about family time too, but celebrating a bday doesn't excuse you from responsibility. like i said, it's a good life lesson, better to learn it now then at your first career job.

why didn't you go to class hand it in and leave early. You don't know how to lie?

I was going to be late. My bro surprised me an HR before class and it's a 45 minute commute due to end of day traffic. By the time I got bro the keys and got his bags out the car, caught up for a few mins. It was 730. Would have been 15 minutes late so I thought it'd be a bad look to not only show up late tryna leave but trying to turn in a project late.

So in my head it was email it on time and explain with proof of the time stamp, or show up and risk looking like I'm working last minute or him not accepting it.

You're lucky you didn't get a 0
Exactly, it's crazy that he gave you 50

Should have asked if it was okay a week ago, you knew you were gonna do something on your birthday right.

I missed an exam and it's a miracle that they just put the weight from that exam on my final so that I wouldn't have to repeat the whole year.

I don't see any difference between the two. Rules are rules, but seeing as to how I had the highest grade in my class. and a strong track record, I'd be penalized harshly.

I can't believe that I'm the one who's gonna make this thread racial, but the above is the same type of thinking that affluent white people use when they get sentenced the same way as everyone else for doing the same crime.

The due date was on your birthday and you knew this the moment it was assigned. Thus, you could have turned it in(in person) as instructed at any time before that but still failed to do so.

A justly deserved L....sorry to say.
