Did we declare K.Dots TPAB a "Pro Black" album or was it assigned for us?

Although THEY ARE doing that too,he's as guilty as I'm saying he is.
"2pac came to me in a dream"
"i was going to name my album TUPAC.
Splicing old 2pac interview to pretend 2pac's talking to HIM.
His fake brenda's gotta baby songs.
He's OBVIOUSLY going tooth and nail to align his name with pac's.
Now i understand being inspired, but when you go out your way over and over to do this, but you dont even TRY to show the same fire musically, the emphasis on TRY.
And you cant even speak on things you previously said, when you get in an interview, then why in god's green earth are you acting like you're a second coming of pac when truthfully you're just a shook one whom wants that type of image, without the backlash that comes with it.

This is why many people called Kendrick a "Fake hotep" when TPAB first came out because it seemed like a cluster or random ideas that didnt flow together like how GKMC. I`m actually giving Kendrick the Benefit of the Doubt of NOT TRYING to be something he clearly isn't. I call TPAB a collection of soulful songs related to the experience of him as a black man or the character he created for the album.

I agree with OP for the most part but @CashmereEsquire explain the popularity PE and Dead Prez, too unashamedly pro-black groups, have with white people. PE always got rave reviews from white critics back in their day while Dead Prez has a very large white fanbase. Doesn't that go against your theory of music not truly being pro-black if its embraced by the white mainstream?

Even with all that, I think you expect too much out of him.
Naw,he's pretending to offer more than he actually has. And he knows it. If his efforts to live up to the league that he's placing himself amongst, I'd give him a pass even if he was wack. However he's putting A1 effort trying to use pac's name and d- effort in REALLY SAYING ANYTHING. SO fukk EM

It's posturing and complete bullshyt that they'll dance around.

I mean Ice Cube had Khalid Muhammed of all people on his albums, name dropping him verbatim and that didn't stop him from being casted in movies, getting spots in Saint Ides commercials:mjlol:

And then there's this with PE

Song is dope, but you don't get any whiter than fukking Anthrax. :russ:

Once again its no different than White people from affluent communities embracing Jeezy and his thug motivation movement. You speak as if slumming culture doesnt exist. White people can listen to something and it is purely entertainment for them as they are hearing things about a world that is not reality to them. When white crticis consume things they review them purely from an entertainment perspective. PE And the likes created music for the purpose of teaching. Do black people write reviews about school textbooks for entertainment web sites or blogs? Think about that.

I`m always hear Liberal media bigging it up, calling it revolutionary, and at all these BLM protest they are playing or Chanting the song Alright, but lets be real, that album is damn near Kidz Bop Steeze compared to Hip Hop Albums before it.

Also the simple fact the album doesnt "offend" or make people "uncomfortable" is kind of funny as race relations in America is an uncomfortable subject.

When I listened to the album I more so felt it was just a Soulful Album that reminded me of a mix of Organized Noise and West Coast G Funk SONICALLY.

Nothing on that album invoke the feeling you get when you listen to the below songs imo:

Pro Black is not Anti White.

You sound more and more like one of those cats from Fox News by the day.

I say this because it's baffling that people think TPAB is some cryptic work when it couldn't be more straightforward majority of the time.

Definitely a white people tryna tell black people what's good type of situation.

Think catered food. White folk love that shyt. We be like where is the seasoning.

That's my thing wit bol, where is the seasoning.

I concur. Not feeling the album at all, or whatever this direction is that Kendrick is going in.

its mostly the stans though. you can't say anything negative about certain artists. kendrick is immune to criticism by alot of ppl on here. nothing in the OP or thread title was said in a malicious or degrading way but some stans got offended by the question.

ima give my view on it after i roll up and word in a way not to offend the stans or to entice the haters

Kendrick's stans are the WOAT stans in my opinion, worse than Eminem stans even which is saying something. You can't make any critique of the man without them attacking you, it's ridiculous.
