Now i would agree that early on he was on the path, just never really materialized.

Well if you believe he didn’t have a HOF career before the “fall off”( I disagree, there are other HOF QBs without the accolades you mentioned above) Then that’s different from saying he “played himself out of the HOF”

The implication in saying that is, that if he retired a couple years ago he’d get in, but now he doesn’t deserve to make it cause a few bad seasons at the end of his career.

I don't think he'd make it if he retired after Seattle. I just don't think his resume has improved since.

He needed to add to his resume and he hasn't.

Sherman was on the 9ers vs KC in the Super Bowl and got cooked by Sammy Watkins which a was major play in the comeback victory.

Everyone who's ever played the game has bad moments. You don't go out of your way to point that out especially after you won a championship with that player. I don't see ex Cowboys saying how the O-line, Emmitt, and Playmaker carried Aikman. The Ravens don't even do Trent Dilfer like that.

The cowboys all love each other. The Seahawks don't fukk with Russ, not even the coach. If it was just Sherm by himself then it'd be weird but its not so let them feel how they feel.
