bruhs did you ever get accepted into a 4 year college with a low gpa like a 2.0 or something ?

if yeah what helped you

1. being in a sport/getting a athletic scholarship
2. good essay, good sat scores and teacher recommendations
3. you just had connections like a rich parent or some shyt
2.8 I believe + I got a scholarship (no idea how) but I wrote a letter and explained why my gpa was low. It was all true.

You can get into college with a low GPA. The thing is that you may not get as much scholarships to support others cost that you can not afford to pay out of pocket. You may just end up getting the pell grant. I know people who went to college with 2.0 unweighted GPA's.They did not get enough scholarships(barely if any to be honest) so they took out loans. If you have a low GPA, or you have zero interest in taking out a dime in loans you are better off going to a community college first and then transferring. You can get great scholarships as a transfer student. You just have to know where to apply.

Edit: America has more than 1,000 universities so a college with dorms and the whole college life thing will accept you. Being in extra curricular activities and having a good essay will get you into a school.

Keeping a high gpa is not really that difficult
It does not reflect intelligence but hard work
Just sit in the front row of the class for better concentration and take notes on what the teacher says in class and study those notes
So with that being said if a student had a low gpa but a high SAT score or low GPA(2.5 or lower)then colleges would simply assume that you were a lazy student

Damn, a 2.0 is laughably low.

But, given that, I'd suggest you attend a community college for some time. Complete an A.S. in something that you would like to study further at a 4 year institution. That would prove that your previous record of a 2.0 in HS is not reflective of your more recent work. That is the best option in my opinion. And, if you know what you want to do early, you can get out a lot of the material so by the time you enter college, you will have most of the curriculum completed with about 1.5-2.5 years left of school.
