Diddy is that old man telling the young kids they have to act right and shaking his head when shyt goes down that disappoints him, when he himself was a part of that problem for over 30 years, nah its too late old man

Puffy over saw the production for Usher's first album, and was credited for it.
He did the same for certain tracks on Aaliyah's second album, although he was uncredited.

U under the guise that Aaliyah was signed to Timbaland. When infact Timbaland was signed to Aaliyah's uncle label, BlackGround.
Neither Aaliyah or Timbaland/ Missy didn't call nobody...
Outside of KayGee from Naughty by Nature, J.D, and Puff. Aaliyah was struggling to find established writers, and established producers for her second album.
So she instead started working with unknown writers and producers at the time. one of them being "The Family" Missy, Tim, Ginuwine, Stattic, Magoo, Playa. Aaliyah and them clicked, and the rest was history. Aaliyah was their big break.

Puffy was all about talent first....

Timbaland told the story of how they were able to work with Aaliyah on the breakfast club 2-3 years back. Aaliyah reached out to them.

Again Pufff was not all about the artistry. Puff was about money and that was through selling an image. Puff was about hits not classics.

This the biggest buffoon of them all. He raped the culture for money and now he wanna lecture
Ehhhh...I know what you're saying and it's certainly not the first time I have heard this, but without question, Puffy is a key figure in the growth of hip hop. Your favorite rapper had some success (notoriety, financial) in the past 20 years or so? It's likely due, at least in part, to Puff.

If you remember rap before Puff, you had cats on records talking about Jettas and other reasonably priced cars they picked up girls with. After Puff, you had to impersonate a damn millionaire to get attention.
Let me stop you right there, because I'm an older cat and I was there in that generation before Puff. You are right that Jettas, Pathfinders and Maximas were what was hot back then, but you need to realize that

1) 98% of rappers were not getting the type of money to get more expensive cars

2) Benz's, BMW's, Range Rovers and other high end foreign cars were just not as aesthetically appealing back then, particularly to a young hip hop crowd. (but that is a Rolls Royce Eric B. and Rakim are sitting on on the Follow the Leader album cover)

3) Please don't underestimate the materialism of the 80's. Have you seen the chains and 3 finger rings those dudes wore? Do you know how much those Dapper Dan suits cost?

Puff just took it to the next level which was only the natural progression of things.

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
I could have sworn I once saw a picture of Puffy dressed up like Ronald McDonald, but Google is failing me right now. Quite the appropriate attire indeed for a clown such as himself.
