Whoever said this had anything to with a rebuttal? The battle is what it is. Having more insight into how it all came to be is another story. I mean nothing changes the diss, it just gives context. Faith explaining the pic of her and Pac and how her vocals eneded up on her album doesn't undo "Hit Em Up". Carmen explaining how the beef between Jay amd Nas came to be doesn't change the disses that Nas and Jay exchanged, but brought light to songs people didn't even know were disses until after the fact.

Nah man....that's not the same at all.

The Pac or Nas/Jay shyt was cited in rap bars....so after the fact the minutia of it being explained wasn't essential, but it gave the lyrics context.
