Im not knockin the hustle do you, I just know a lot of these DJs

Some of em are cocky as fukk and will brag about their skills, when they don't do anything.

Time-coded vinyls still work the same as real vinyl BTW, so real DJ's can use Serato with actual vinyl records. The records have a timecode audio signal that the software can read to determine the records position. So you can literally use any turntables and mixer you want with Serato or Virtual Vinyl.

And trust me doing support for these programs as an actual paid job, I talked to 1000's of these wanna be DJ's.

Dude's actually yellin at me on the phone because of the work involved to pull off a good transition or playlist. :wtf:

also, no racist, but damn there are a lot of indian and south americans that wanna DJ :what:

I just bought a numark ns7fx. I have a laptop. And just now tryna figure it all out. I dont see nothin wrong with serato. As long as u know how to play good music and scratch/blend tracks it should be all good. I dont see nothing wrong with gettin paid for it. And im tryna learn everything. Im not lettin the laptop do everything for me. Shiiit im sorry im not carry crates all over the place. And i still have the upmost respect for all the legendary dj's who paved the way.

That things dope. Maybe thats the company I used to work for :flabbynsick: :mjpls:

You can still be a dj using serato without crates, just please dont hit play and use automatic cross fade. I swear to god this exists, fukkin automatic cross-fade, that reduces it to itunes status.

But if you work on scratchin, and beatmatching and play good songs, you good, no one expectin you to carry crates everywhere.

All Im sayin is if you can't scratch or do any crabbin on the fader, or beatmatching what do you do exactly ? This isnt at you directly, just in general

It would be dope if y'all posted some of y'all work up on here...

I'm definitely a fan of the art, but WISH i had those type of skills man...I love it when y'all blend/cut/scratch new and poppin records, give the crowd/party a teaser and then not drop it for a few minutes...get us anxious...

My friends hate scratchin/cuttin dj's but that's one of my favorite aspects of hiphop...the guy who KEEPS the crowd hype and movin...the dj

@KushSkywalker teach me how to dj, how do i mix with one deck?

spyro is one of my favorites
Sir Spyro Interview Phtv - YouTube

mixing with one deck is easy....

just put it on instant doubles in serato and spin on one side, then move the cross fader to the other

or use INT mode on one & REL on the other, and just hit flip everytime you want to switch records.

scust @ not wanting to hear cutting and scratching. i've heard of a few club promoters that tell dj's not to scratch.
