He kinda sounds like Rakim and Kane
This one he kinda sounds a like LL/G Rap on this
Isn’t Spellbound what started the K Solo beef?
I think X started sounding like the X we know now when he did "Born Loser"
Yes. They battled in prison. Solo got out before X and dropped Spellbound, then X got out after and said Solo stole his style.
"That's dead, who made this style, Solo or X" - Nas "Zone Out"
On this too
Still not quite X, but close.
Critical condition shyt was dope...sounds a lil 80's ish with the flow but
Why am I just now getting that's what Nas was referring to???
I guess it's the way he said it... shyt man
Yeah he was using the Spellbound style in that song lmao
Wonder when Suge came to NY to scout DMX and had him battling cats- which version of DMX came to play.
I would think in the early 90s he still had the old school flow He didnt rhyme frenetically the way we know him now
It's dope that X rapped so long he eventually developed his own completely original style
I used to listen to that deeper record heavy even though I never had a good quality version
I had made a best of unreleased and features X double cd in like 01 back when label makers for CDs first came out..
wow he sounds totally different
X and Percee P on Stretch and Bobbito in 1991
