Interesting. I never knew thisdidn't he have beef with "La the Dark Man" over the name? Dark Man X (DMX) said that he had the name first.

Not gonna look right now but Lord Jamar explaining that story on Dj Glad is stupid funnyIsn’t Spellbound what started the K Solo beef?
You have any idea which interview this was?Not gonna look right now but Lord Jamar explaining that story on Dj Glad is stupid funny![]()
Fam they got like 100 interviews together. I lightweight looked but they got like 5 talking about DMXYou have any idea which interview this was?
LOL yeah it's too many.Fam they got like 100 interviews together. I lightweight looked but they got like 5 talking about DMX
He basically said the true story about the jail battle and how solo took the style. But Jamar was like "I saw X later and he was still talking about the spellbound shyt and Jamar was like that was mad years ago"
jamar sad he saw it as a gimmick and a one song pony rather than a whole style. It's also the reason X says K solo suck my dikk on It's Dark intro
blew my mind, breh. i didnt know he used to be this good.
It didn't. He said at the time he couldn't get in the industry even though he was dumb nice because he didn't know anyone.listening to ‘critical condition’...shyt is dope...wonder if this got radio play...I don’t remember hearing this
LOL yeah DMX always been nice, he bugging. But I think he meant nice in like a Rakim/Kane type of way. His style by time he came out was definitely less based on rhyming for the sake of spitting a bunch of bars and much more about his life.
dmx grew up in jail
he and solo were probably in juvie together
Solo killed Knick Knack though
EDIT:
KSolo first album came out in 1990

a year after his feature on Knick Knack (from Unfinished Business which came out in '89)
On his debut album his song "Fugitive" tells the story of him being locked up
so I'm thinking he and X were inside together in the mid to late 80s
If he thinks this version of X is nice he ain't heard shyt yet. This is no where near X at his peak lolLOL yeah DMX always been nice, he bugging. But I think he meant nice in like a Rakim/Kane type of way. His style by time he came out was definitely less based on rhyming for the sake of spitting a bunch of bars and much more about his life.
It's dope that X rapped so long he eventually developed his own completely original style
I used to listen to that deeper record heavy even though I never had a good quality version
I had made a best of unreleased and features X double cd in like 01 back when label makers for CDs first came out..
FactsIf he thinks this version of X is nice he ain't heard shyt yet. This is no where near X at his peak lol
