I'm just glad X was smart enough to drop that Rakim style of rapping and found his own style becuz that earlier style of rapping was extremely played out (nationwide) by the time The Chronic came out.

I noticed post Chronic nationwide (NY, The South, West) a lot of people's original styles developed. They cut that 80s umbilical cord completely

LOL Moe Dee was nice but he kept the same flow too long. It was over and nobody told him

I think Moe Dee overachieved

his rap career success is one of the most unlikely events ever, if you think about it.

He was a contemporary of Grandmaster Cas and Melle Mel, yet he launched a second act when both of those guys had already passed the torch.
