Not to get too deep, but our best and brightest communities were destroyed multiple times over the course of american history. Tulsa, OK; Wilmington, NC; Overtown, FL; Montgomery, AL; I can go on.

All of those cities were striving upper middle class cities that were destroyed by whites. So when I hear nikkas try to compare our situation with others in this country, I understand they don't realize the nature of the threat we faced.

Do you think the Jewish or Asian community would be where it is, if whenever one popped up, gangs of whites came and literally burned it to the ground?

Trust me I understand where you are coming from, racism is a powerful tool that whites used against African Americans for centuries and still are....

My problem isn't that African Americans aren't doing well because there are many god reasons for that ....... My problem is that they look in the wrong place for solutions...

I'm a big Jay/ Nas fan.....but have you heard theses dudes speak?.....

Great point. It's like black people are anti-money. Look you want righteousness, go into religion. Even that has a financial aspect to it in running a church. When people bring up the hyper commercialism amongst black people and consumer ship it's just words to mask the fact we are largely financially illiterate. It's really that simple. It's just an excuse to be poor and be righteous in poverty. Nothing righteous or admirable about poverty.
