Has he still not ever lifted weights? Remember they didn’t let him left because he was still growing

I’m not sure, LeBron had a high school team on national TV and I remember racing home from school to watch him. I mean every adult was talking about this LeBron kid. He was as popular as super stars in the NBA among kids in school. LeBron is the most hyped athlete I can remember, and some still say he ain’t live up to the hype.

Wemby won’t live up to the hype unless he has a career that eclipses Jorda and that’s really fcking hard to do. His front office has to be making the right moves while he at the same time puts up GOAT level production his rookie year.

He was hyped since he was 16, had millions of followers, then had the Duke platform etc

The average fan has never heard of this Australian nikka

Boris Diaw played many years.

Nicolas Batum has just completed 15 seasons in the league.

Rudy Gobert is a decade in and multiple DPOY.
I'll give you Rudy. Forgot about him. Batum and Diaw, while they had good careers, they were merely role players. I meant French players do not usually reach the expectations mounted upon Wemby. Parker it's the only French player that I've ever considered a superstar.

I think he'll live up to at least around 60%-65% of the hype.

I don't think he'll be dominant as projected like he's been with the Metropolitan 92 or how we've seen him play in highlights 🤷🏾‍♀️ I think he'll have a solid rookie year with an average around say 17-18pts, 8-10rpg, 3apg, and 2bpg 🤷🏾‍♀️ which would be great for a rookie of his caliber but, some of what fans are expecting from him entering the league is a bit over the top.

He won't have that same impact in the NBA as he did over in France. Secondly, a lot of times we overrate #1 picks more than they should be...some pan out exactly how projected and others become busts, solid/good players but not franchise-changing, or injury ridden, among other things.

We'll see 🤷🏾‍♀️.

He’s so young.

I think he’ll be dominant at 22 years old. Provided health.

San Antonio is going to go on runs man :wow:

He will rejuvenate Pop and the Spurs with some training. Get a nice contract but that about it.

We shall see

I think he'll be amazing when he plays but I'm not sure he plays all that much. The really big guys usually have issues

He's amazing talent, but once again, we're in the era where a lot of players miss several games. It will depend on how he takes care of his body. Spurs are top class organization so they will make him work. If a team like Blazers won the pick, he'd be cursed like other Blazer bigs.

Would've been cool to see him with Charlotte Hornets. Has Charlotte ever won a number one draft pick since Johnson?

I wonder if Pop will decide to go against the grain and just trade spots with Houston. I think it would be a nice gesture.

Do it Pop

I don’t think he will live up to the hype but could still end up a hall of famer. His hype is all time great level. Only so many accomplish that.
