I meant in regards to Millennials. I thought most of us were smart enough to realize the whole bootstrap talk is BS but I guess not.

It is. A lot of Millenials are *finally* moving up the job ranks in pay scale, due to people quitting in the middle of a global pandemic and baby boomers retiring, its just that its still BS and we know that. If it ain't WFH, or something lucrative and quick, I dont want it.

i think younger millennials know that the pull bootstrap talk is bs but older millennials think dealing BS,racism,cacs and latinos taking crazy to them,long work hours,working 6 days a week for living wages and toxic environment is ok to them

I'm an older Millenial, and I don't tolerate any of that BS. Only got this WFH job because 2 Baby Boomers retired abruptly and the position was vacant for months.

I'm glad people are taking a stand against shytty pay and poor working conditions.

Illegal immigrants themselves are walking away. Thats why fast food places are shutting down on 8pm on a Friday night and managers are complaining that those illegal immigrants are not coming in anymore.

This whole populist movement is a glorious sight . Of course pro capitalists people are upset and cannot control these young Gen Z heads anymore.

I picked up some taco bell and saw nothing but Mexicans in there. I was amazed...this is Nashville...lol!!!!

I lead teams of about 100 people and we've been having a huge problem with hiring new and junior talent since the pandemic. People switch jobs very quickly. What I'm noticing for the new generation, those that are fresh and recent college grads, is that their attitude is totally different. They will quit in a heartbeat without even exploring options which may work out better for them. They sometimes don't even give 2 weeks notice which fukks it up for the rest of the team. They severely lack professional etiquette like emails and meetings. Some people don't even attend meetings because they have lunch or whatever. Some people talk to clients like their own friends. A lot of them severely lack basic math skills. A lot of them complain about having to work more than 3 hours a day. I think the pandemic played a big role in this especially with work from home.

It's also a candidate market so lots of companies just throwing money. Eventually things will normalize once people understand you just can't leave a place after 6 months and think you're going to advance your career.

Problem is, the problem will get worse as the Baby Boomers retire in large numbers.

Off topic bit I don't understand why there is no 24 hour or at least LATE NIGHT donut places..Kristy Kreme be closing at like 10pm..even on Fri and Sat. I be getting g some ribs or wings..sometimes I park in the Kristy Kreme lot at like 11pm or later..those college kids be pulling up trying to see if the drive thru is open thinking I was just served..lol

You mind going into detail about being an owner operator? How do you get started and what's the earning potential.

This older black dude that used to be in my community College classes quit and became a truck driver. 1st time i saw him we just dapped up and talked for a bit. 2nd time i saw him he pulled up in an AMG. 3rd time he got his own business now

I hated living at home with parents.. I've been living on my own for 25 years, and I know that wouldn't be possible if my parents coddled me and let me live like a zoomer..

You’re right in one aspect but another take is that a lot of them not accepting bosses abusing them or a toxic work environment. And it’s been trending towards this since we saw how these types of environments effects families with the boomer generation
