What you are referring to is the "soap opera effect" which makes film based content look like it was shot it a handhled camera.
Its not the 120hz that is causing it
If a television screen has a refresh rate of 120Hz (120 frames per second) but the television is going to display film that was recorded at the standard 24 frames per second, the vendor must figure out a way to fill in an extra 94 frames each second.

The commercial name given to motion interpolation depends on the vendor. Sony calls it MotionFlow, LG calls it TruMotion, Toshiba calls it ClearFrame, Mitsubishi calls itSmooth120Hz and JVC calls it Clear Motion Drive. Some vendors also refer to it as anti-judder.

How does this look when watching porn?:ohhh:

Those dont do as well in brightly lit rooms. They also have a larger footprint. Id go with PLASMA..but they are a dying tech for some reason..even tho its superior to LCD
They do well if its lamp light. They do not do well if its sunlight and by sunlight i mean beams of sun directly on the television screen.

I like the effect, especially on tv shows and animated movies, however I can understand if you dont like it on movies.. It was designed to prevent lag in sports, its only for LCD tv's, LED are just LCD that are backlight, and most of the lower end models are edge lit, which isnt as good but people cant tell the difference. I have my 120hz turned on and when people see they love it.

No point in a 55 inch 4k when viewing from that distance.

ok that's why I'm getting a 65" :youngsabo:, but in general the 55" is borderline pointless as far as resolution goes but everything else is better anyway...blacks, contrast ratio etc...
