Do you think that a resurgence of Hip Hop is still possible?

Can "real hip hop" make a strong comeback?

Maybe. I ain't even a huge fan of jcole or kendrick like that but it's kinda hard for me to imagine that they're not planting seeds to make up and comers step their game up.

Then again drakes presence may still be a problem

Nah, the cultural perimeters that held this shyt together have been destroyed at this point. Trap music/The South as a whole will always be a problem because of their penchant for creating mind numbingly stupid shyt to appeal to their dumber than average population + strip club culture, Atlanta will be a black cultural centre for decades to come. shyt will get worse before it gets better.

"a generation of psuedo intellects", way to generalize an entire group. we have the real shyt too, but yall would rather turn the other way and complain about young thug.
That's because Young Thug is a mumbler. He says nothing special whatsoever and like his fans say, "He's as good as his beat"

No.

The reason is because everybody has different opinions & tastes, so the meaning of "hip-hop resurgence" is a broad question &
you will never get a "good" response.

You got cats here who thought hip-hop had some heat 2009-2011. To me it was as much trash then as it is now. But maybe theres a difference in our tastes or just age. Maybe that person was like 16 then & have memories from certain records so therefor hes biased towards that, & so on.

Music is always changing and black people are generally the innovators. I understand being nostalgic, but the youth will always push genres (for better or worse). The best thing is to remind them why hip hop history matters, not try to bring back some boom bap revival or belittle up and comers. Some kids can't get down with the texture of 36 chambers and some older heads can't listen to future or thug for similar reasons.
