Everyone knows how to make alot of money, few have the discipline to follow through though.

Most high net-worth individual counts exclude 401K and primary residence equity because it's not liquid. And many professionals who are primarily millionaires on paper from those two sources don't feel or claim to be millionaires. Most cannot maintain their living standards for an extended period without any income.

The metrics you nikkas basing this off of is terrible when other groups are surpassing us everyday
They receive all kinds of help,supplemental income and incentives while we still fight for home loans and fair appraisals
Asians have the most net income in the US and whites are seeing the shift
They are trying to put roadblocks ahead of them like admissions to colleges and etc
But their presence/influence globally is definitely a behemoth to be reckon with
Latinos/Hispanics are also gaining steam and surpassing us
Simply pointing out that this metrics of millionaires is not something to be joyous about has no bearing as you put it

It doesn’t have to be though. I’m guilty of not having a nuclear family but that’s really all it takes. If you take two people that make 50k/year and that isn’t hard to do at all and they work together instead of working as two separate entities under the same roof, they can be worth a million in a little over a decade. Focus on paying off the family home, using equity properly to invest into a rental property or two and it’s totally possible.

I’m not even a boot strap type of dude but black people are literally trying to fight everyone with both hands tied behind our back. A lot of it is our own doing because we don’t see the value in family structure.

The problem with that isn't the wedlock, it's a problem when the parents aren't together and especially when they're not pooling their resources.

Except it does. When we get to talking about rich black folk and shyt it’s only a matter of time until the convo starts about why most black ppl aren’t in this position. Then posters will start talking about what it is that we ain’t doing right, whether that’s what we buy, or what we invest in etc etc.

I disagree, and the facts don't really support your comment.

The AAs who fought, died, and bled to make this country live up to its stated principles came from all segments of society. But a sizable proportion of the ones. who agitated for and led legal victories in that direction were from the segment being discussed in the thread. Most notably MLK , and Thurgood Marshall, John H Johnson.

In modern era, many of the ones fighting the legal battles are from this segment, including those born into the group like Senator Cory Booker, and those who are the first generation of their families to be in this segment, like Senator Raphael Warnock.

In fact, the victories of the first group is what opened up greater access and opportunities to Blacks. Which is what has greatly expanded the size of the Black elite. And the Blacks with resources are paving the way and creating more pipelines for future generations.
Sounds like power ,to me.
