There are MULTIPLE issues in our communities...too many to say one blanket change will effectively reverse our course...
I think a good start would be to bring back STANDARDS in our communities.
Before this whole indoctrination of capitalism and "I got mines, you get yours" mentality was prevalent we actually stood as a community. I guess in times of hardship people tend to stick together, but regardless we DID...
We need to set standards for our families...Like many have said, teach our girls what to look for when ready to procreate. Not some silly materialistic BS but actual qualities (education, personal faith, good scruples/morals).
Teach our boys how to uplift, respect, and treat our women. Make them understand that they are powerful, decedents of kings and queens. Teach them that THEY are the key to the household and if they aren't in it, the household, and subsequently the community, will crumble (as we've already saw)
Set standards in education. Emphasize school and education. Let our kids know that we can be more than athletes, entertainers, and dope boys...Make being a hard working productive citizen normal again. Bring pride back in actually working hard for your money and not looking for handouts, or selling poison to your brothers and sisters.
Emphasize the importance for BOTH parents in the household or at the very least, active in the childs' life. Engage our children, make sure we understand that they're the future and prioritize them. Ensure your child in better off than YOU were...
Put value into EACH OTHER and building US up instead of focusing on money and material crap (the "butter" basically) stuff that doesn't last and has no REAL value outside of the moment...
Not that we CAN'T change, we have to WANT to...they've indoctrinated us with capitalism and put into our spirits that you're nothing without that mess...They've given us social media and "ratchet TV" to keep us occupied and fighting among ourselves. Quit trying to be the next no talent *pick any ratchet tv "actor"* and become the first ___________ or the best____________....
Care for your fellow brother, want him to be right there WITH you. Pick our children up and put them on the pedestal. Work with them and teach them to break down the racial barriers. Realize our potential as a people and community. Stop with the excuses and actually WANT to BE better, then you will DO better...
