I feel the opposite :yeshrug: theres a lot of shyt that I dont know so im always gonna be learning and a student regardless where im at. :yeshrug: sounds like you're going through an ego death

This.

But also, what I've learned to do in the last 3 or 4 years is simplify things. I strongly believe that the internet has over-stimulated us which causes a lot of unnecessary thinking.

A prime example of that is the story of the girl that killed her boss at McDonald's. People were really defending that shyt. The girl left work, went home, had time to record a video, then went in and committed the crime.

She had all that time on her hand and not once did she think, "Killing this woman might not be a good idea".

And again, people were defending that shyt, giving all kinda weird fukked up scenarios as to why she did it. :dahell:

Yup this 100%. I still go through it but it becomes mind over matter. I still have my lazy days but forcing yourself to get upnand get shyt done will improve slowly over time.

fukking Chinese did some slick shyt with this covid virus :pacspit:
Not really. All the virus had to do was get to America. The American population and it's leaders decided how we would make it through.

31 and still feel the same mentally as when I was 21. I read daily, gym, video games (proven to help memory and all that crap), eat healthy as best as possible. Also, my job is challenging mentally and forces me to think outside of the box.

Sounds like you need stuff in your life to challenge you.

As you get older you should get wiser. If things that affect other people don't affect your life you may not be able to relate to how they feel or react to those changes . I personally have gained knowledge on a lot of things I've seen but couldn't relate to as a youngster

No lie, I'm definitely addicted to the internet. Last month my wifi went out for two days and after work when I would get home during that time I would just sit around and check my connection every 15 minutes. I felt like Pookie from "New Jack City" because my dopamine receptors are so damn fried :mjlol:

I literally pay an extra $15/mo just to be able to use my phone as a wifi tether in case my main Internet ever goes down :russ: :whew:

I think that after our 20s/early 30s we tend to get settled into what is comfortable and what we know. Life (work, kids, spouses, etc) means that we have less time and energy to explore new stuff, and to spend countless hours studying it. What used to kind of come naturally now requires a little more effort.

Anyone who has learned foreign languages knows that the earlier you learn them the easier it is. The brain is just more "fluid". Now you can still be VERY smart in whatever you specialized in, but you might be less likely to broaden the scope of your interests and to spend the same time and energy as you did when you were younger. Also for the simple fact that when you're young everything is new and potentially exciting.

And then there's the simple paradox of knowledge, where the more you know the more you're also aware of what you DON'T know, which can lead you to believe that you're "dumber" than you actually are.

Men peak in their early 30s......late 30s is where the switch gets flipped :to:

Nah

I feel no dumber or smarter than normal

I definitely feel people and my surroundings have gotten dumber though… and losing patience with them.

I actively try to avoid people too and it’s like their stupidity is unavoidable.
same. I used to be an outgoing person but this brain dead society we live in has slowly turned me into an introvert. I can give two fukks if I meet new people or not at this point. Plus I got my fam and career so what else would I need?

Yeah man It’s just me out in this shythole so it’s extra tough :francis:

I don’t even bother going out. Don’t bother trying to date anyone from here, just messing with old chicks who I won’t do long distance with. I’ve never even had road rage incidents either and thats with living in like 8 different cities… but it’s a consistent thing happening since moving back to the states.. specifically Republican south.

I feel like it’s an omen :francis:
