If the person actually knows what they're doing it's not. Talking to uncle ray ray ain't the same as someone who is an expert at psychology/ human behavior

actually, talking to your uncle will probably be more impactive.... They're only a handful of really talented therapists out there.... Most are just regurgitating a one size fits all script from the DSM handbook

My girl is a therapist. Actually my 2 longest relationships were with therapists, but I’ve never gone to one myself.

I don’t think it’s for everyone but it’s good they’re out there for people who decide they need it
Were they talking shyt about their patients to you or their friends???

You should use chatgpt as your therapist.
:mjlol:

My sister has been telling her dude for YEARS that he needs to see a therapist due to childhood trauma and he always refuse. She told me last month she went through his phone and looked on his ChatGPT app and found out he's been using ChatGPT as his therapist and was asking for advice how to leave her. They broke up the next day. I told her she's the first person ever to find out they man wants to leave them thru AI :wow:

1) You have to find the RIGHT THERAPIST. Like with anything else, If your therapist is SKILLED and DEDICATED to being good at their job. .BONUS if they can relate to you ( and this is where we usually run into big problems as Black men because there are very few doctors that can relate to us.)

2) I personally believe everyone needs some form of therapy in their life and that the MAJORITY of people suffer from some form of mental anguish or mental health problem.

Everyday I see people online and in real life do psycho stuff and think it's normal. :dahell:

And yes I'm talking to YOU. I would advise anyone reading this to seek help for their trauma.

Find a therapist that is good and relatable.

How many people in America can afford to see a therapist regularly? What percentage of people in countries outside of America even considers modern therapy white academic sense) a beneficial thing?

No but mental health is being weaponized against black men specifically. I’ve spoken with a therapist for a couple of years after my divorce and it helped tremendously.

There is nothing wrong with someone seeing a therapist. I've had therapy and it is quite useful when needed.

But, I recognize that there are ppl that are agsiant it and IMO, those same ppl may need it themselves.

If you feel that therapy isn't necessary, then cool, but that doesn't mean that it isn't helpful nor does it mean those who need it is weak. There are many ppl who need therapy especially those who are really going through tough times.
