Does getting married and the wedding costing 20k+ make sense if u dont own your home?

Never expected to see so many rational wedding tales on the Coli. Most people I know spent a grip on their weddings and didn’t have family members who had enough money to foot the bill.

My boy moved back in with his fiancé parents for 2 yrs and they stacked major dough. They then went and had a big wedding 40k+honeymoon and bought a 4000sqft house. They were fortunate to have a great support system.

Get married at courthouse, take wedding pics like I had an actual wedding and go on with my life.

I just can't foresee me paying thousands of dollars for other people to enjoy MY big day! My bro and his wife literally look like they were running around their whole wedding. Pics, introductions, congratulatory talks, it seemed more like a business meeting. Tho it was a beautiful and fun wedding.

it's incredibly dumb to me. the thing is that i dont even think weddings have to be that expensive if u avoid businesses targeting weddings. They overcharge.

. I like this idea. My cousins and aunts just went down to the courthouse. From what I've heard one of my cousins and her husband are saving up to buy a house. Of course I'd like to have a wedding however reading the horror stories of people clashing, stealing and you don't even get to eat a majority of the time.

I don't know about the U.S but I haven't been to a free wedding since I was a kid, all the weddings ive been to where over 100$ per guests
Montreal, Canada them Haitian weddings ain't cheap, imagine being invited to 8 in one summer and most of theses cheapskate don't even have open bar
