I don't know.
I didn't blame anyone, not even god when I lost my job and my apartment, but somehow I stayed alive, moderately healthy through the whole thing.

My mother and father tell me they pray for me mutiple times a day, meanwhile me as an agnostic I haven't prayed in going onto 4 years.

So yeah…idk

Christians or Muslims will tell you so. As someone who was a Christian and is now agnostic, it doesn't work. This world is based on chance and actions. Either you are given the opportunity or you're not. Either someone else is going to get healthy or off drugs or they're not. Sometimes I think prayer hinders people from moving forward because they are too stuck in waiting for a "blessing" that may never come.

If there is something you want, you have to just work for it and let nature take it's course.
If you want someone else to be better in life, you have to help them and let nature take it's course.
Prayer works but you also have to put the most action you can. Also you have to pray on it and move forward.

Think that clasping your hands together and talking at them with your eyes closed is gonna help you in any tangible way brehs. Why do you even have to clasp your hands together in the first place? To establish some sort of wifi connection? :mjlol:

Get your shyt together and do something about whatever it is that's buggin you instead of trying to dance around the problem by following the instructions of a murderous, incestuous and genocidal book written by goat herders.

:ehh: kinda. you should look into it because there is a reason for different hand placements.

You navigated through that situation, not because of some blessing from the gods. Just you, and perhaps those closest to you.

You don't have to clasp your hands when you pray. You don't have to bow your head; it's optional. I don't bow my head & rearly use my hands when I pray. God hears you when you are talking to Him.

Surely whoever you're praying to would be able to hear what you're trying to convey? But hey, tradition's tradition :yeshrug:

Only if logical fallacies are your thing. That is, I prayed for this and it happened, which means prayer works. However, I prayed for this and it didn't happen, but that supposedly means that some mysterious figure has a better plan in mind for you. In other words, it works if you believe it works, even when it doesn't, which logically means it doesn't work.
