I got Tory Lanez in the lead now only because I didnt really like Don's second one, took away some of the bite of the first in a way. Does he really need to punch-in after every bar? This nikka sound sloppy as fukk, his engineer is trash, lol

A smart nikka would have the perceptive aptitude to see that it's not time for that and we're in a fukkery era.
You supposed to use fukkery, not enough people know about that man nor do they care to research. Fight fukkery with fukkery, moral victories are useless

nikka that's like being a hood club bouncer or a Detroit cop.

If Kool G Rap came out today in this modern rap climate he would sound a lot like Don Q. It’s 2019, Don would never make a song like It’s A Shame.

New rappers will never win with y’all

This whole thread is Don sounds like this nikka or Don sounds like that nikka or Don a mixtape rapper. It’s over for spitters this is why singing nikkas are taking over the game
Don is not a "bars nikka" like that in the grand scheme. He's a "slick talker" with punchlines who happens to use some advanced techniques.
No G Rap wouldn't, he's MORE ADVANCED SKILLWISE.
The lloyd banks/fabolous/jadakiss school of rapping is very limited.
Advanced slick talk in mixtape format. A style you can learn from message boards...
Bars = King Los, Royce, Monch.
That's skill-skill...

he ain't done nothing for me to hate him but for sure i can't ride with son especially not on no gunsmoke

didn't know that about gibbs

& shyte you got cops that's slime & more in the underworld than your favorite rap nikka & aspiring trappers

i mean smokey recruits for sociopaths for divisions of the force

cop doesn't equal good person

eh my moral compass still goes off on certain things

i am not comfortable with duck nikkas barking like bigg.dawggs

& i can laugh at shyte i can appreciate the technical quality of the work but i will still call the flaw shyte

Just heard Don's 2nd response and I thought that shyt was better, and really should have been his 1st diss. That one could have got him a draw at least instead of the 1st rd L. Even though the 2nd diss was better, it still had its flaws and limitations.

1. Q needed a different beat. Beat wasn't hard enough and was too fast for his flow so it lessened the impact on some of the bars. Out of all the hard dark menacing beats Mobb Deep spit over, this nikka gets Burn to rock with. :snoop:
2. At one point in the track, he kinda goes off on some random battle bars for a while so the nikka ended up having some filler in his joint. :wtb:
3. Overall offense was good. Lot of jabs and right hands landed, but he missing those eye catchy judge friendly big haymaker punches to really make his diss memorable.
4. Q missing that sauce/charisma to really sell his bars. JR did more with less cuz he got bars, but that extra swag to make them punches landed harder. Plus he picked a beat that complimented him better.

Its all the little things that count.

Am im the only one here that thinks this is a good battle? I'm seeing people here not being impressed and I don't get why.

I wouldn't classify this battle on the level of a Nas vs Jay Z, Jada vs Beans, etc but in the modern landscape? This has been a good back n forth, one of the best we seen in awhile. It's too much nitpicking/analysises going on here. Just enjoy the battle and choose the winner after it's over.

Y'all wanna call Don Q generic and boring only because he's a throwback to all the NY rappers in the underground/Smack era. That style of rapping is outdated for some of y'all but in a battle that's how Don gotta rap and how he always rapped.

I'm not from NY either so don't come at me with that NY bias shyt.

Tory Lanez on the other hand is a dope rapper but bites alot. It is what it is. I'm not gonna take his rappng ability away from him.

I'm just happy to see nikkas rap against each other again.:hubie:
