From the athletic:

Draymond Green stood outside the visiting locker room at the Toyota Center, greeting teammates as they came in. When Stephen Curry made his way through the crowd, he looked straight at Green — before they slapped hands and bumped chests — and screamed, “Kick me off the court again, boy!”

There is a story behind that.

On the eve of Friday’s Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals, Curry wanted to get some shots up at the Toyota Center. The Warriors’ do-it-all manager, Eric Housen, booked the court from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. so Curry could work on his shot. Somehow, Rockets guard Chris Paul got wind. He decided to go to the Toyota Center to get shots up, nixing Curry’s reservations. The Warriors’ point guard offered to stick to half a court, but Paul wasn’t having it. Curry was kicked off the Toyota Center court.

Hence: “Kick me off the court again, boy!” And Green replied to Curry’s taunt by screaming, “Kick him off! Kick him off!”

I love stories like this. Always a game within the game.

So you'd rather them step inside the line and shoot long 2s instead - all at the sacrifice of efficiency and spacing?

:usure:

Shooting 3s is the reason why they had [temporary] success on offense - that was until the clock struck 12. The problem isn't them shooting 3s, it's how they're generating their shots. The high variance of constantly creating in ISO and off 1-2 draws is why they cripple their margin of error, which ultimately leads to their offense falling apart. If they cut down on all the ISO actions they use, and instead moved the ball and moved without it, they would have actual success.

Everyone should be calling out all the ISO shyt and lack of ball/player movement: that's the REAL problem with their offense.

I don't think you could've been more dishonest and full of shyt with this post if you tried.

:picard:

i) Rockets weren't passing up "wide open" drives and mid-range shots for 3s - the Warriors focussed on limiting Harden and CP3 (particularly over the "clutch") because they're responsible for creating the entire Rockets offense, which led to role players having open shots - that doesn't have shyt to do with "analytics", that has more to do with their ISO-centric offense (you know the type of offense y'all old heads fawn over).
ii) CP3 and Harden were a combined 2-6 (one of those shots given up because they were defending the 3) and 3 or 4 turnovers when the game was within reach down the stretch - all this talk about the role players not hitting shots during the clutch is, once again, YOU making up bullshyt to layer a narrative. It was CP3 and Harden who were coming up short - not the role players, who had minimal possessions down the stretch.

You really out here hyping "Harden attacking and probably getting fouled" when he turned the ball over THREE times in the clutch.

:lolbron:
Another casual, numbers driven take :mjlit:

You must have missed PJ Tucker’s 3-point miss from the corner, Eric Gordon’s missed layup, and Gerald Green’s blocked 3. Harden and CP3 came up very short, mostly because neither of them wanted to take over the moment offensively.

New school casuals like yourself encourage superstars “making the right play” based on numbers (which means passing to role players in clutch moments) as opposed to taking the shot themselves.

You only pay attention to what you want to pay attention to, instead of watching the entire game :mjlit:

So were including all them garbage time free throws in the last minute when the game was already in hand? :skip: What was that, 8-10 points of his 23 in the quarter?

Your problem is I DID watch the game :umad: Tryna sneak that shyt by :Usurekid:

I give him credit for coming through clutch but my point still stands. Theres like 4 guys that get the gameball before Steph.
Who cares about a game ball:mjlol:

I don’t get why people are blaming Harden and Paul for the loss last night.

Coaching was pretty bad from Houston. Nene seeing the court made zero sense. Capela was in struggle mode all night. Not once did D’antoni go to Faired.

They were getting killed on offensive rebounds. Tucker , rivers , Gordon were caught multiple times sleeping while looney, dray and McKinnie came crashing in.

I’m not a fan of the whole Kd playing on the warriors but the way Houston plays basketball is unwatchable. (3 on 1 fast breaks , don’t even get shot off ) The crowd couldn’t even get into the game. I’m glad they lost.

Ya I don’t want to hear about these Rockets bums ever again.

Thankfully free agency will sort this shyt out and they’ll be a bum ass 7th or 8th seed by next year.

Excited for the finals hoping for Raptors Dubs.
